1969 Dodge Coronet Superbee Driving
Had some footage, had some tunes, had to make a quick video of the Superbee running around. Gotta love that mopar sound. I know I mixed in a clip of it without the hood, when it has a hood before and after, but I couldn't help it. She looks so good. Besides, cutting errors were par for the course back in the 70's.
This 'Bee has a 440 Sixpack with liftoff hood, 4-speed tranny and a Dana 60/ 3.54:1 Surgrip rear end. It's also rocking 305/60D15 McCreary Roadstars in the rear. They just barely fit but give the car much needed grip, and that great view of giant meats on the back of a musclecar.
Music is from the movie "Vanishing Point" by "The J.B. Pickers. The only way to get the music is to either order the out of print record, or watch Vanishing Point. I'd go with the latter. It has to be one of the best car films of all time.

69 Road Runner Vs Big Block Dakota
On Oct 18,2009 at New York State International Drag Strip in Liecester NY, a test session was conducted on My 69 Road Runner which was useing a custom built torque convertor which was built by BDR convertors in Buffalo NY. This was done on a 1/4 mile strip. Car weight 3250 lbs fuel c-12 race gas, engine stroked 440 now 493 inch,4:30 rear end gear.I ran against My sons big block Dakota 3300 lbs,engine 451 big block,fuel pump premium, 3:55 rear end gear, both vehicles equiped with 727 Torqueflite transmissions.

Mopar Nats 2011 at Santa Pod Raceway, Saturday. First 11 second run for the Road Runner, been a long time coming.
Rear tyres are Bridgestone HTS686 275/60R15, great cheap street tyre and pretty grippy on the track. 60 foot on this run was 1.88 seconds.
69 440 Road Runner Drag Race 9 seconds
Here is a video of me running my fathers 1969 Road Runner against a 1970 Dart. These are both race cars and are equiped with race engines. The Dart is running a 416 cid stroker small block mopar...fully ported (by hughes engines), 600" solid cam, 11:1 compression. Has fiber glass front end and doors. 2600Lbs.
The 1969 Runner is running a 493 cid Block Stroker mopar. Fully ported (by KTR Racing engines) Edelbrock heads, .700" Solid Roller cam, 14:1 compression. Has Fiber glass fenders and hood. Doors are steel and the glass wind shield remains. 3200LBS.
(this is the first pass that the Road Runner made with its 493 cid engine... there is more there after tuning).
