Rick's Toyota Starlet 1.5L turbo. The car uses a Paseo bottom end and factory 1.3L cylinder head, turbonetics turbo and Wolf EFI. The car had an issue with the Nitrous system on the day hence the black fuel Exhaust smoke. Nissan RB30 SOHC 3L engine built and tuned by JPC making over 1200hp on Ethanol fuel. The engine still retains a factory block and crank. Improvements come from a custom JPC turbocharger, manifolding, roller rockers and cam gear. Fuel is fed via ID2000cc injectors and an Autronic computer system. When you lose brakes, you do not "plan your line" for the corner. He took the same corner before this and would not try to make a turn like that on purpose. I included the Mustang going through the water to show it DID NOT have an affect on the evo. The evo did NOT drive on any wet part of the track from the Mustangs splash prior to entering the corner.
