2014 Mercedes S-Class - assistance systems animation
Mercedes has officially unveiled the 2014 S-Class at the Airbus A380 delivery center in Hamburg, Germany. Designed to become one of the most luxurious and advanced vehicles ever constructed, the 2014 S-Class has an evolutionary design that incorporates a sportier front fascia, a larger grille and a gentle slanting rear end. The sleek styling enables the model to have drag coefficient of 0.24 which is pretty impressive considering the pint-sized CLA has a drag coefficient of 0.23.

This model highlights the uplifted face and the body contoured to reduce resistance to motion through the air. This the two-door coupe will come with two different specifications the E350 and the E550 -- having a 3.5-liter V6 302hp engine with 273 pound-feet of torque and a 4.6-liter twin-turbo 402hp V8 engine boasting 443 pound-feet of torque. Both models will features standard rear wheel drive but customer will get the choice to order all-wheel drive with seven-speed automatic transmissions. Furthermore the choice will include Mercedes' Direct Select and paddle shifters. The Mercedes-Benz 2014 E-Class Coupe will make its appearance at upcoming Detroit Auto Show

The new s class Mercedes, which is ready for it's makeover, has popped up with an S-Class 4 door Cabriolet, the first of it's kind. It's built off of the Maybach to Pullman platform and it shows. This concept alone is a statement, the new one could change the game.

This entry-level luxury car features the aggressive and sporty design found on higher end Mercedes vehicles combined with a finely crafted luxury interior; all at a very affordable price tag of around $30,000. The 2014 Mercedes CLA-Class should be hitting dealer showrooms this fall. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class includes many features and options found on much more expensive luxury cars. The engine is a turbocharged 4-cylinder that makes 208 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a dual-clutch 7-speed automatic. Outside the aggressive lines are not just for looks; instead they help with the aerodynamics of the car. LED daytime headlights are a staple in the luxury market and the CLA-Class sports some of the most beautiful lights found on any car. The front sport grille is very eyecatching with its silver-tipped studs. The large alloy wheels compliment the rest of the exterior. The 2014 Mercedes CLA is a significant vehicle for the Tri-Star brand. Basically the CLA has the Executive Premium Styling found in the CLS brought down to an entry level luxury car. The Mercedes CLA is the new baby of the bunch; it is essentially a CLS in a smaller package. The exterior is very stunning thanks to the muscular 4-door coupe styling. The CLA has a lot going on, it is very luxurious on the inside and it looks fantastic on the outside. The meat under the hood is a 4-cylinder turbocharged engine pushing out a little over 200 horsepower and 250 lb-ft. of torque. As awesome as the outside is, the interior is an excellent place to be. The gauges look futuristic, the seats are comfortable, and the backseats have plenty of room. All of this adds up to a very impressive package. This might be a very hot seller for Mercedes-Benz. Besides the exterior styling, that wonderful interior, and the excellent engine; is the price which starts at around $30k. This car is a stunner and should hit showrooms later this year. Spied! 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Caught Fully Uncamouflaged 2 Months Ahead of Debut

But, it appears, that party got spoiled a little early. Spotted on the streets of Germany for what looks to be a photo shoot, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class has exposed its sheetmetal to the world, looking decidedly more staid than the current car. Noticeably, the curved wheel arches are gone in favor of a small, flat lip around each wheel, looking a bit like a blown up, toned down, and smoothed out CLS-Class. Its trunk slopes down like the CLS's, too, and it has a two converging character lines running alongside, much like those seen on the CLS and smaller CLA. While not as dramatic as the outgoing car, maybe that's a good thing with the Occupy movement still alive and well in a financially downtrodden Europe. 2014 Mercedes Benz S Class Spy Shots Profile Driving Rear 300x187 imageFor the U.S., the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class is expected to retain its turbocharged V-8 and V-12 engines, as well as its hybrid and diesel options. With competitors bringing six-cylinder models back to the U.S., too, we wouldn't be surprised if Mercedes follows suit. For the past two generations, the U.S. has exclusively gotten the long-wheelbase version of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. We can't speculate as to whether this trend will continue, but we do know that Mercedes will introduce coupe and convertible versions of the S-Class in addition to a limousine-like Pullman model to fill the void left by the defunct Maybach brand. The 2013 S-Class tops out at just under $220,000 in S65 AMG guise, and we expect the next S-Class to go even further into the stratosphere.
