From the POWERCRUISE in Houston, TX - There aren't too many street cars
you're going to find in the world with over 500 cubic inches under the
hood, our friend Gup, From Australia (and originator/owner of Powercruise)
owns this insane Holden HSV witha 727ci motor in it! The car was being
broken in so it wasn't at full power... and as you'll notice, the way these
guys like to play, spinning is just part of the game!
Should I Buy a Holden Cruze?
If you're wondering whether you should buy a Holden Cruze ... no.
Emphatically no. Here's why, in a nutshell:
The Holden Cruze has been riddled with design defects since its release.
Some are serious and safety related; other Holden Cruze defects are just
annoying enough to drive you nuts. This video lays out just how bad the
underlying engineering of the Holden Cruze really is - using independently
General Motors Holden spent decades and billions of dollars building the
red lion brand into something Australians trusted and loved. And it worked.
We did love our football, meat pies, kangaroos and Holden cars... Even if
that slogan was a direct rip-off of the US campaign that loved baseball,
hot dogs, apple pies and Chevrolet.
Nowadays, we only love three out of those four things, sadly - and the
sales figures prove it. General Motors has has burnt the Holden brand.
Like, somebody left the tumble drier on in Dresden. Again.
Holden is well on the way to becoming the country's third major South
Korean car company: the one without the five-year, unlimited-kilometre
warranty. And the Holden Cruze is the -- unappetising -- shape of things to
come from this once-great brand.
