2007 BMW Z4 M Super Sprint Race Exhaust
This is an A/V comparison of my 2007 BMW Z4 M Roadster with the stock Exhaust system and the Super Sprint race mufflers and x-pipe I recently installed. The sound is deep. I apologize for the poor audio quality of the driving portion--the GoPro HD Hero isn't the best at capturing low-frequency audio.

Car: BMW E89 Z4 GT3 Team: Marc VDS Racing Team Event: 24h of Zolder Date: 2012-09-06 - 2012-09-09 Drivers: Bas Leinders, Nick Catsburg, Henri Moser, Markus Palttala They qualified second overall. Sadly the team had to retire the race while leading. The diff was damaged too much and couldn't be repaired. The video includes test, practice, qualifying and the race itself. As difficult it is to decipher the true sound of Exhaust on a video without professional audio equipment, I did both videos at the same location using generally the same camera and car placement. As you listen, you will mostly note the higher pitch sound after install of the x pipe. It is much more so in person especially since without the x pipe, the very low frequencies are inaudible on these recordings. Before x pipe, rear section was very bass heavy up to 3k rpm. Though still bass rich, it now also has the change in tone to a higher, dare I say trumpet like, sound passing 4k rpm. Rear section was heavy in resonance in the 2 and 3k rpm ranges in cabin. Its surprisingly a little bit less after x pipe install. But the whole Exhaust is much different and much more characteristic in sound after x pipe. I hope this helps anyone using these videos to decide on Exhaust for M3.
