Porsche GT3 Cup VS Cayman S @ MSR
I am behind a Porsche GT3 Cup car that is driven by a guy that says he is a Panoz "race car driver". But he has no clue of the line AND he drives really slow in the corners. but with the 100 HP difference he can pull me in the straights. If he was any good, a Cup Car should be running times in the 2:20's and I would be 2:30's But the guy is totally slowing me down. I am experimenting with the new Traqmate and chase Cam using the Traqmate Studio to overlay the G meter and speedo. I don't have the tach wire connected yet. The camera mount is a bit too shaky. I am working to fix that problem.

2015 Porsche 918 Spyder First Test: Fastest 0-60 Time Ever? Plus Porsche 959! - Ignition Ep. 109
On this week's Ignition, Carlos Lago has a second go at Porsche's 918 hypercar. The goal: to run the 918 through the full gauntlet of MT's instrumented testing, including 0-60, quarter mile, braking, figure 8, and a blistering real-time hot lap around Big Willow race track with pro driver Randy Pobst. Carlos also gets a rare chance to experience the 918's ancestor, the Porsche 959. The 959 was a remarkable piece of automobile history that was decades ahead of its time with much of it's technology only appearing in common vehicles within the last ten years or so. The 918 attempts something very similar, featuring very advanced technology, including a naturally aspirated V8 that works with a seamlessly integrated electric motor to provide extra Boost. Can Porsche's new hypercar achieve the same effect that its predecessor did? Only time will tell, but stay tuned for the record-breaking review. Cobra eaten alive by Porsche Cayman S
Since Carl Smith and Bobby are such Cobra fans, I had to post this just for them. This is a the Driver's Edge Yellow run group at MSR 1.7CCW. This video was just before they told me that I was catching people too fast and have to move to red. The Cobra is fast and has pretty flames. But there are corners most tracks. 2014 Porsche Cayman S! Is the Lightest Porsche Now the Best Porsche? - Ignition Ep. 73
On this episode of Ignition, Carlos Lago gets behind the wheel of the newest iteration of Porsche's Cayman line, the 2014 Porsche Cayman S. After some twisty road driving, Carlos meets up with pro driver Randy Pobst at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to discuss the capabilities of the new Cayman on the track. It's track ready, balanced, and can go from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds... but is it worth it's fully loaded six figure price tag? First previewed on its Boxster platform-mate, and shown at last year's Los Angeles Auto Show, the new Cayman looks more aggressive than its predecessor. From the 918 Spyder-aping looks to the scalloped air intakes on the doors to the silicone-injected hips, the car looks buffer. It's larger, too. The wheelbase has been stretched by 2.4 inches, while the overhangs on either end have been shortened by 10mm. Overall length is only up 0.1 inch. The track has been widened 40/12mm front/rear.
