American Touge 2 - RWD/NA Preliminary Round - Hot Version International 1/5
After the success of the first American Touge, we conducted an open casting call for US tuner cars to appear in the sequel AT2 - Go to http://gtchannel.com for more car videos and content - to be tested and driven to the limits touge style by Keiichi "Drift King" Tsuchiya and his sidekick Yasuyuki Kazama. 33 cars divided into 4 different classes were chosen to battle it out to challenge last year's "Touge Monster", Comptech NSX. Hotties Kazumi Kondo and Verena Mei co-host the show. Cars were divided into NA RWD, turbo RWD, FR and AWD classes. Promising contenders from the first American Touge such as Hasport, Top Setup, Techno Toy Tuning, Vishnu and XS Engineering were there to avenge the Touge Monster title. Cars from grade A tuners such as the Mullerized EVO and AEM Civic Si were newly chosen along with several privateers with hopes they may have some surprises. STM - HD2 EVO - Shake Down
The STM crew shake down, the HD2 EVO at a private test day prior to the Northern Nationals at Fram Autolight Dragway, Meremere, New Zealand. With a soft tune to get some data, the car went 1.17 to the 60'. We only got one pass in as we found tiny pinhole in the intake port of the cylinder head. This resulted in oil from the rocker cover entering the port at idle. The pin hole is the result of a thin section of the head casting where the head was ported which didn't show up until the car was put under some stress at the track. The car will be racing next at the South Island Champs. Thanks for all your support.
