1958 Desoto Firesweep Delivery
My Mom got an early Christmas present delivered today-- a near mint, low mileage, un-molested, and un-restored, single-family 1958 DeSoto Firesweep. Its two-tone colors are her favorite(s); shes been looking for awhile, and this one came from a great family in Washington state. Thankfully, our two DeLoreans are not without a home, my Dad is going to purchase a four-post lift to store our cars in the garage.

1958 Cadillac Runs & Drives After 15 Years & Commentary
I'm proud to say I have resurrected this car. It sat in a car port for 15 years but now she "runs like a sewing machine." New Exhaust pipes, carb from another car (63 Pontiac), rebuilt wheel cylinders for the brakes, new brake hoses, front end stabilizer pins and a few other things. Now she rides like a, well... Like a Cadillac!.. Next will be cleaning the fuel tank and fixing the fuel gauge...

These were the days of undisputed leadership for Cadillac...understated elegance, fins were growing but not outlandish...very large bumperettes in front. Note the beautiful interior. If this was in your driveway, it was a clear signal that you had arrived ...a prominent place in society!
