With the launch of the 2012 Camaro ZL1 just around the
corner, SEMA 2011 featured tons of amazing Camaros built by some of the best
shops in the country. Among them was this 2011 Camaro RS/SS that took fifth gen
performance to another level. Built by Source Interlink Media, parent
company of Motor Trend and Automobile magazine, industry leaders such as
the GM Performance Division, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and
Pedders Suspension helped make this 800hp monster a reality.
Like most of our late model cars, this Camaro is absolutely dealer
fresh. Covered in Summit White paint with Inferno Orange racing stripes,
there isn't a dent or scratch to found on the body. From the HID headlights
to the RS-exclusive quad taillights, all trim and brightwork remains
exactly how it left the assembly plant. Only a small SS badge about the
right taillight hints at the destructive forces under the hood.
Lift the hood and you'll be greeted by the massive 7.0L LS7. This one was
assembled by Thomson Engineering who is famous for cranking these engines
to 11. Inside that block, an upgraded cam, forged steel crank, forged
I-beam rods and forged-aluminum coated pistons form the basis of this
beast. At the sides, upgraded LS9 heads are hidden under the valve covers
and coil packs. Up top, a LS9 TVS positive-displacement blower with an
integrated liquid-to-air charge cooler sucks air through a 90mm throttle
Underneath this fifth gen, a Rockland Standard Gear TranZilla 6-speed rated
to handle over 1200hp. Power flows from the transmission to a NASCAR style
rear end packing 3.73 gears. Built around that transmission and rear end is
a Nurburgring tested all-independent performance suspension that's been
upgraded with the Pedders Pace Car Package. Speed sensitive power steering
and massive four-wheel disc brakes ensure this car handles the twisties
with ease. At the corners, 20 inch American Racing wheels look awesome
wrapped in Nitto rubber.
Inside the car everything is factory new with no trace of wear on any of
the seats or carpets. The heated and power adjustable Inferno Orange
leather seats are near perfect in every way. When combined with the cars
Inferno Orange door panel coves, dash accents and stitching, they really
set off an otherwise simple and dark interior. Being a top of the line car,
all the cool options such as the heads up display and Boston Acoustic
9-speaker sound system are in place and functioning perfectly.
Included with the sale of this car is the original owner's manual, window
sticker, build proposal and a few pictures from its time at the Source
Interlink SEMA booth.
Limited edition cars are cool but 1 of 1 builds like this 2011 Camaro RS/SS are as good as it
gets. If you've been considering adding a fifth generation Camaro to your collection, don't
miss your chance to take home the best. Call, click or visit

RRonTV: The new Chevrolet CAMARO SS Convertible
from Wikipedia: The Camaro received a complete
redesign, and new platform for the 2010 model year/fifth generation. Based
on the 2006 Camaro
Concept and 2007 Camaro
Convertible Concept, production of the fifth-generation Camaro was approved on 10 August
2006. The Oshawa Car Assembly plant in the city of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada
began producing the new Camaro which went on sale in
spring of 2009 as a 2010 model year vehicle.
Following the development of the Zeta architecture and because of its
position as the GM global center of RWD development, GM Holden in Australia
led the final design, engineering, and development of the Camaro. Production of the coupé
began on March 16, 2009, in LS, LT, and SS trim levels. LS and LT models
are powered by a 3.6 L (220 cu in) V6 producing 312 hp for the 2010 & 2011
model mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic with manual
shift. The SS is powered by the 6.2 L (376 cu in) LS3 V8 producing 426 hp
(318 kW) and is paired with a 6-speed manual. The automatic SS gets the L99
V8 with 400 hp (300 kW). The RS appearance package is available on both the
LT and SS and features 20-inch wheels with a darker gray tone, halo rings
around xenon headlamps, a unique spoiler, and red RS or SS badges.
On April 1, 2010, the Camaro was named the World Car
Design of the Year at the World Car of the Year Awards.
In late January 2011, the production of 2011 Camaro Convertibles started. The
first going to Rick Hendrick via Barret-Jackson Car Auction. Convertibles
had the same options as the coupé (engines, RS, SS, etc.). The Camaro Convertible features an
aluminium brace over the engine assembly, and under the transmission. Due
to the 2011 Fukushima earthquake, certain pigment colors were not available
to make certain colors for both the coupé and convertible.
On November 2011, the export version (excluding Japanese version) of the Camaro was introduced
after a two-year delay. The delay was due to the unexpected high demand and
strained production capacity. The export version included different tail
lamps with integrated reverse and amber turn signal lamps, larger external
rear view mirrors with integrated side turn signal repeaters, "cleaner"
rear bumper appearance (without reverse light inserts), and other changes
as to comply with ECE regulations.
The 2012 model year marked the 45th anniversary of the Camaro and commemorated with a
model available only in "Carbon Flash" paint. The V6 was updated to a 3.6 L
"LFX" engine producing 323 hp (241 kW). The SS model received an upgrade to
the suspension system. All models received the RS spoiler and taillight
details, wheel-mounted volume and radio controls, and Bluetooth
connectivity controls as standard. The 2012 ZL1 Camaro included a 6.2 L LSA
supercharged V8 producing 580 hp (430 kW). The LSA motor is the same used
in the Cadillac CTS-V and makes it the fastest production Camaro ever produced. Other
features included 2-stage Exhaust, the
addition of suede seats, steering wheel, and shift knob, as well as
ZL1-exclusive 20" aluminum wheels. In 2012 Chevrolet unveiled the
production of the 2013 Camaro ZL1 Convertible.
On December 19, 2012 GM announced the production of the Camaro would be shifted to a
plant in Michigan, citing "lower capital investment and improved production
efficiencies were key factors" in the move. This move is expected to start
in late 2015 or early 2016. Top Gear Camaro

2010 Chevrolet Camaro.
After a much-hyped gestation period that involved endless spy photos,
rumors and even a prominent role in a movie, the fifth-generation Chevy Camaro is now available
for public consumption. Its history is filled with highs and lows but
Chevrolet hopes the latest Camaro can capture the best of
the past while maintaining a sharp focus on the future.
First Generation and Fifth Generation Chevrolet Camaro
Most of you may know me for uploading video game music. But this time I
wanted to do something different. I love muscle cars and I hope one day I
have one especially a classic! This video is a tribute to the 1st and 5th
generation Chevrolet Camaros. Which do you think is
better? Old school or new school? Let me know what you think! Feel free to
Note: I do not own these pictures. I got them from yahoo images.

Driving the 5th Generation Chevrolet Camaro (쉐보레 카마로) on FM4
I am driving the 5th Generation Chevrolet Camaro at the Top Gear Test Track
on Forza Motorsport 4.
The fifth generation Chevrolet Camaro, launched since early 2009
as a 2010 model, is more than just a famous muscle car that competes
against the Ford Mustang
and Dodge Challenger, this is more of a pop culture ever since it started
out in life as Autobot Bumblebee from the Transformers movies. This marked
the return of the Camaro brand after being absent
since the 4th generation's production ended in 2002.
Produced in Oshawa Car Assembly in Canada and it uses the GM Zeta Platform
that was last used on the Holden Commodore. The SS model featured on this
game comes with the LS3 6.2L engine that produces 426HP of power. It even
has a choice of either a Hydra-Matic 6l80 6-speed automatic w/ TAPshift or
TR6060 6-speed manual transmission.
In China, this is known as 科迈罗 (Ke Mai Luo).
In one episode of Top Gear, Richard Hammond reviewed the Chevrolet Camaro alongside the
Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. Thanks to The Stig, it lapped the Top Gear Test
Track in 1:27.9.
It was featured at the beginning of Jeremy Clarkson's DVD titled Clarkson:
The Italian Job, , while Clarkson's checking around the twists and turns of
Lydden Hill Race Circuit, where he will participate at a classic car race
with his Ford Escort Mexico. While he twists and turns around the Lydden
Hill with the Camaro,
even with help, he turns out that he wasn't fit enough for his race. Even
Clarkson's epic workout in Italy wouldn't help and he decided to use the
Imola Circuit as his basis.

A clean body that’s dropped on a custom suspension, fitted with a
leather-lined interior and bolted to a hot LS7 small block, this insane Camaro pro-tourer is the
kind of killer classic that makes factory-fresh bowties shake in their
run-flats. If you’re shopping for some fully-sorted muscle that puts a
modern twist on an old school favorite, you’re looking at your next car!
The beneficiary of a professional, frame-off restoration that was completed
just last week, this slick ‘69 Camaro features a seamless custom
appearance that’s highlighted by an immaculate coat of Charcoal Gray
paint. Take one look down the sides of the car’s rock-solid body and it
becomes very obvious that great care was taken to ensure every panel is
aligned to better-than-new condition. Step closer to that body’s
mirror-like paint and check out its straight and ripple-free surfaces,
which are a product of both clean OEM sheetmetal and high quality
replacement panels. Grab the pivotal pieces of that well-adjusted
sheetmetal and experience the kind of excellent fit and finish that’s
right at home reflecting a summertime car show. Then step back to admire
one very well-done custom that’s built to exacting specifications thanks
to a great combination of skilled workmanship and first-rate finishing.
Cranking out 513 rear wheel horsepower, the lightweight,
high performance LS7 rumbling beneath this car’s hood is a technological
testament to the old rule: more cubic inches equals more horsepower! A perfect amount
of air and fuel is supplied by a stock GM throttle body that’s been
cinched to a polished air tube and a Spectre reusable filter element. That
air and fuel mixes in a factory LS7 intake and progresses to CNC-ported
cylinder heads that are fitted with a combination of titanium intake valves
and sodium-filled Exhaust valves.
Immediately following combustion, spent gases roar through 2.5 inch
stainless pipes via Kooks long-tube headers. And a big Be Cool radiator,
quick-spinning Spal puller fans, new AC Delco plug wires and a polished
Vintage Air Front Runner system ensure rocket-like acceleration.
Take a gander under this wicked F-Body and you'll find a fully detailed
chassis that mixes new age technology with old school durability. At the
center of the car’s floors, a fresh Tremec T56 6-speed utilizes a Ring
Brothers clutch reservoir to spin a Moser Super 9 rear end that’s fitted
with high quality Moser axles and slick 3.31 gears. That drivetrain hangs
in a complete Detroit Speed suspension which makes excellent use of a full
set of tubular control arms, a beefy Panhard bar and a full set of Koni
coli-over-shocks. And torque melts the pavement thanks to painted Rushforth
Night Trains which spin 245/35ZR19 Nitto NTO5s in front of 335/30ZR19 Nitto
Behind this Camaro’s
solid-closing doors you’ll find a supple Upholstery Unlimited interior
that wraps firm leather seats in a nice blend of contemporary style and
modern convenience. At the front of the car, a custom, leather-topped dash
hangs a slick set of Stewart Warner Maximum Performance gauges above modern
pushbutton start, a new Sony CD player and controls for a traditional
Vintage Air climate system. And in front of the driver, a snazzy Billet
Specialties wheel tilts a flat-bottom rim around a subdued Flaming River
With its timeless style, excellent performance and modern comfort, this
slick Camaro pro-tourer
is an absolute blast to drive and instantly admired wherever it goes. Call,
