1988 Volvo 765 302 V8
1988 760 wagon with 1992 Mustang GT engine and built AOD transmission. Silver exterior with charcoal leather interior. Located in Denver! More pics here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/90406672@N00/sets/72157615870059160/ Car has roughly 214,000 miles on it. Im unsure of mileage on the engine. The transmission received a high performance rebuild with upgraded clutch packs in July 2005 from Transmaster. The engine is stock with the exceptions being the BBK intake and a CSR o-ring Thermostat Housing (leak-proof). The previous owner bought the car in 2004 from the guy in Florida who put it together using the Converse Engineering kit. He went through it and replaced poorly done electrical connections with proper solder and heat shrink joints (he's some electronics guy for a living). He rear-ended someone and the hood, and the front end between the fenders were damaged. Because the aluminum hood on the 760 is $1000 new, it didnt take long for the insurance company to total it. He bought it back from them and put it back together. The accident shows up on a Carfax report, and I have pictures (like, actual photos, not digital) of the car showing the damage and you can see in these pics that it's fixed. • Ipd Sway Bars • Koni Adjustable Shocks • SS brake lines • Zimmerman cross drilled rotors • E-code lights with 100/130 bulbs, relays and separate fuses for each circuit, powered by a 200AMP PA Performance alternator with heavy-duty wiring. 1pr of Extra Lenses • PA Performance Hi Torque Mini Starter • 940SE Eggcrate Grill • Rear mounted Optima Red Top battery • BBK intake • Custom bent Exhaust with Magnaflow muffler. (It sounds awesome) The car has catalytic converters, and passed emissions testing (sensor in tailpipe with the car on rollers) for the previous owner. (No emissions for me here in CO, so I don't know what it does now) • DC Controls fan controller with 16 SPAL Fan • Re-cored 760 radiator with heavy duty coils • Flex-a-Lite transmission cooler with braided SS lines • 16 Borbet type E wheels with 225/50/16 Kumho tires for the summer (stick real well!) • Stock Volvo wheels with Nokian Hakkapeliitta RSi tires for the winter • Alpine head unit with iPod control • Momo Corse Steering wheel • Tow hitch and wiring • Stock steering wheel and stereo included, along with manuals for Ford engines etc and the Volvo, also a cracked Ron Davis aluminum Ford radiator. During a 1000 mile drive at speeds ranging from sustained 75-85mph and peaks of 100mph it got an average of 19mpg and ~16mpg city.
