2004 Saturn Ion Redline vs 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS
My brothers 2006 cobalt SS vs my 2004 ion redline. The redline has intake
and just an aftermarket muffler & a bad clutch, other then that it's all
stock, the redline also has a full tank of gas, and the cobalts is almost
empty! The cobalt has intake, new clutch, no cats, and 3 inch straight
pipe! Both cars only have drivers. 50 mph in 3rd gear on both cars! The
only reason we did that Is cause the ion redline has a bad clutch, and if
we were in 1st or 2nd gear the ion will loose instantly, so 3rd gear was
the way to go! Both cars had stock Supercharger pulleys. Both running at 91 octane.
Repair cvt VT25-E/VT20-E, Saturn, Opel.
Demonstrated inside the repair of variator VT25-E/VT20-E (continuous
variable transmission: CVT), mounted on car Saturn Vue 2,2l 2002-2005 and
Ion Quad Coupe 2,2l 2003-2004. Also installed on the car Opel Signum
2004-2007 and the Opel Vectra C 2004-2007.

2007 Saturn Ion Redline Dyno
Saturn Ion Redline 251WHP and 232 ft. lbs. The 3" catless Exhaust held it back a bit (no back pressure)
and the tune is running slightly lean. Yes, I'm aware that a 3" catless Exhaust is a little too big for the
current mods (listed below). I bought it because I have future plans to put
some good work into the motor; hopefully sooner than later.

I also just rolled over 130,000 mi. (130,009 mi. to be exact), so I did a
seafoam at the end of the video (single bottle, 1 1/3 cups in the tank,
rest in the brake Booster).

Saturn ION Pedders Xa Coilover Install.f4v
Alan's autocross Saturn ION gets a set of Pedders Xa coilovers installed
DIY style in a driveway. This video serves as a Do-It-Yourself guide. After
watching this video if you are not confident you can do the install on your
own, don't do it without the assistance of a more experienced DIY mechanic
or take your car to a Pedders shop. Overall, it is not a complex install.

Cutting White Wire on Saturn Ion to Fix Starting Issue
UPDATE 3/21/2014: My car is still working fine. I still have not had a
problem with it starting since I posted this video 5 years ago. Still on
the same battery. Thanks for all the comments!
This is me showing how I cut the passlock wire on my car. My car would not
start on damp, cold mornings, often taking 30 - 40 minutes to get it to
start. After reading several forums I found users who were doing this to
"fix" the problem. I thought I would tape this for anyone who was thinking
of doing the same but doesn't know anything about cars. Like me. :)

Update 10.6.2012: I added a switch, I believe it was this one
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062533 I installed
it with it in the off position, started the car, switched it to On while
the car was running and the service engine light went away. Car started
fine after that. I just shut it off again as it was cold one morning this
week and I had trouble getting the car started. Once I got it running,
turned it off and haven't had trouble starting it since. YMMV
