How To Install Factory Coaxial Car Speaker in a Scion tC | Car Audio 101
Learn how to replace factory speakers with aftermarket coaxial speakers. In this video we use a Scion tC to show how we replaced that rear OEM speakers with NVX V-Series car speakers. This installation is a fairly straightforward and easy installation, but requires some know-how and they right tools. Step 1: Disconnect the car battery . Step 2: Remove the factory speakers (Removing panels first, then the speaker). Step 3: Install the aftermarket speaker. Step 4: Finish the install by testing the system and reassembling the panels. 2014 Scion tC Test Drive and Compact Car Video Review
When the Scion brand debuted as a 2004 model year, the goal was to target a younger car buying crowd with affordable and stylish vehicles. Fast forward almost a decade and Scion is still at the forefront with vehicles like the FR-S and the tC. This 2014 Scion tC is in its 2nd generation and has undergone a handful of changes most notably on the exterior. The base model Scion tC with manual transmission starts at $19,200 and the top of the line Anniversary Edition is $22,440. Scion updated and restyled the tC with a whole new front end consisting of: new hood, new lights, LED's, new front fascia all in an effort to resemble the FR-S. The wheels are standard 18-inch machine-finished alloys. Out back the rear tail lights are LED and the rear bumper is designed to also look like the FR-S. The 2014 Scion tC is loaded and for only $20k you get a ton of great features. First of all you get A/C, cruise control, power everything, and a full panoramic sunroof. Now many cars may offer these items but where the tC really jumps ahead is the inpressive 6.1-inch Pioneer audio system featuring Bluetooth. Under the hood lives a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 179 horsepower and 172 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission options are a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic and fuel economy is 23 MPG in the City and 31 MPG on the highway for both transmissions. The automatic has a system called Dynamic Rev Management which makes the car a little more entertaining to drive. To make the car even more fun, Scion has retuned the electric steering and the suspension.
