here is an update on the maverick you guys may have seen it in car craft this last year just telling what I have changed lately and how it has affected it I didn't mention in the video that I changed to a 28x9 inch slick too so we will see how it runs soon with the dozen or so changes it has 75/99 jetting blocked secondary high speed air bleeds tiny primary hsabs and bigger idle air bleeds 10.5 power valve it gets 12 mpg on highway

fast forward to 7min 30sec and 10 min 30sec to see donuts and drifting this is me and my buddy tommy lee having fun on some old street tires I had laying around , tried drifting it for the first time kind of a long video but several hits at 12 pounds of Boost car is a 73 grabber with Mustang 2 frontend, 466 big block ford nearly stock with single 75mm turbo blowthru carb , nearly stock c6 , and all stock 8 inch with mini spool and my new 2.78 gear

this is the first time it has been started with the turbo it did good it is a totally stock 74 truck 460 only mods are ported exh. side of the heads and a .500 lift summit cam and arp rod bolts it has a 2 barrel on it just to start it , it will soon have a 800 holley , just to help some of you guys out the manifolds will not work upside down the ports are offset between the bolts i will have to make headers soon for it to perform

Josh Dillon's turbo big block Maverick making a pass at Brainerd Optimist Drag Strip in Ringgold, Georgia. Car has a 460ci big block Ford with stock crank, H beam rods, forged pistons, stock head castings and valve size, blow through carb, Borg Warner S475 turbo. This pass is on 18 pounds on 93 octane pump gas with a safe tune. Track conditions were poor as you can tell by the squirrelly ride. I think this pass was a 7.0X at around 100 miles per hour. Other details about the car: C6 transmission, Dacco torque converter (way too loose), 3.00 gear, stock 8 inch rear end, stock axles, mini spool, 26x8.5-15 tires, original leaf springs, stock shocks, slapper bars.

here is an update on my maverick it has a blown head gasket and has had one for a while while i have been buying up parts to rebuild it i still need a stall , a1000 pump, rebuild kit for c6 and have the machine work done hope you guys like it

this is my best pass to date it is on 12 psi Boost 2800 rpm footbrake 2 step launch shifting around 5500 i think 12 psi in tires 36 degrees total timing pulling .8 per psi so 26.4 under Boost runing 50/50 miv 93 octane and 110 for safety but it doesn't need it at that Boost level i was trying to turn it up to 20 psi is why i put race gas in it . it is a stock ported head 74 model 460 with stock valves , block, crank, rocker arms, main caps, . it has a 950 carb shop blow tru carburator , torker 2 intake, .503 lift 276/286 duration hydraulic flat cam , 2500 stall dacco converter , all stock hard parts c6, jeep cherokee drive shaft , stock 8 inch with stock 300 gear stock axles 28 spline and $15 mini spool , running 26x8 inch slicks on steel wheels

this is me making a test pass against a coupe Mustang at dft 2014 at brainerd ga my car was on 14psi Boost with 35* timing base pulling .5:1 timing per psi Boost 14 psi in tires 28x9 slicks on 110 gas 2500 rpm launch footbrake no Boost on lauch converter too tight had to lift when Boost came in I ran 1.88 60 ft 7.24@105.88 ran a best of 6.9 @ 104 on pump gas this night other car in video I believe is a sbf with heads and Nitrous but could be wrong he ran 1.83 60ft 7.6@93.71 my car has a mild stock head crank and block 460 with mostly stock c6 and stock 8 inch with 300 gears and mini spool 3400 pounds street car with s475 turbo stock leaf spring slapper bars

well this is a video of my maverick at the track for the first time terrible pass due to a lean bog from secondaries opening but not fueling due to too short of a carb hat it didn't go full Boost until right at half track no spool due to carb but also because of only being able to leave at 1500 rpm because of the stock converter 2.39 second 60 foot ran a best of 8.4 @92 great mph for only Boosting for the last half i am in the process of rebuilding the engine and trans stock c6 has held up great so has the converter and stock 8 inch with 300 gear and ebay mini spool
