Программа рассказывает об автомобилях мировых автопроизводителей, но только представленных на украинском рынке. Идея нового сезона программы "Модельный ряд" состоит в детализированном, разностороннем рассказе о конкретной модели авто, её истории, дизайне и функционале автомобиля.
Toyota Yaris — субкомпактный автомобиль производства японского концерна Toyota, выпускаемый с 1999 года.
Для внутреннего рынка Японии выпускается под названием «Toyota Vitz» (трёх- и пятидверный хетчбэк), а также «Toyota Platz» (варианты исполнения купе и седан с 1999 по 2005 годы) и «Toyota Belta» (седан с 2005 по 2010 годы). На американском и канадском рынках c 1999 по 2005 год была известна как «Toyota Echo» (в варианте двухдверного седана). Существуют также обозначенные выше варианты названий для австралийского рынка.
Первое поколение хетчбэка появилось в 1998 году, второе - в 2005-м. Производство третьего поколения этой малолитражки стартовало на заводе концерна в Йокогаме 22 декабря 2010 года. В настоящее время машина третьего поколения доступна только на внутреннем рынке Японии.
Одной из особенностей автомобиля является электронный экран, заменяющий традиционную панель приборов. На нём отображаются показания спидометра, тахометра, одометра и других приборов.
Автомобиль оборудован 4-мя подушками безопасности в базовой комплектации, 7-ю в максимальной, системами ABS, EBD и Brake Assist. Уровень безопасности по оценке Euro NCAP составляет 5 звезд.
