NEW SHOES! 2011 Lexus IS-F CUSTOM AZA 20" Staggered Wheels on Nitto INVO

***THESE WHEELS HAVE BEEN CHANGED SINCE THIS VIDEO WAS SHOT. THEY ARE ALL BLACK NOW!*** This is video 2 of 2 The new custom 1-off 20" wheels for my Lexus IS-F are finally finished and on! This is a brand new forging, very similar to the AZA "slide" wheel (see website), but a little different to accommodate my Brembo brakes. There is a 4" lip up front and a 4 1/2" lip in the rear. Everything is black but the inner spokes which are brushed aluminum and the stripe on the outside which is also brushed aluminum. The wheels are 20x10 in the rear with a 275/25/20 Nitto Invo tire. The wheels up front are 20x9 with a 235/30/20 Nitto Invo tire. I hope to lower this car by at least 1" sometime this year. The suspension for the '11 is supposed to be all new and re-engineered for this year so im not sure what my choices are going to be. It has a factory 1" drop from the normal IS250/350 so its already got a nice stance IMO. If you are interested in a set of custom wheels, even something REAL NICE for your motorcycle, contact AZA/Sinister Wheel! http://www.AZAforged.com is the site, these guys are TRULY THE BEST and basicly, triple-O.G. when it comes to the wheel game. 2011 Lexus ISF 6 Piston Brakes Painted F Blue, Custom Logo - Plus bonus Smoke!
in anticipation of my new wheels that are being custom made for this car, i wanted to change the color of the brake calipers. I love the color and I figured since they didnt have a blue ISF on the lot when i got this one, that this would fill the "void" just fine for me :D The new wheels, as stated in the video will be 20" Black on black 3 piece wheels with an offset. They should be ready next week. In the meantime, while i wait for my wheels to be finished, i called up Roy Devore, the man responsible for painting my Tahoe and Chickens Hoopty Caddy (search candy blue Escalade in my vids). He didnt even hesitate and came right over. After looking at them closely, it was determined that we could paint them completely without taking them off. I honestly didnt want to mess with pulling them off the car anyway since it would be a pain in the ass. As you can see, it turned out great! Having my own lift really helped and Roy was able to hit the brakes inside and out with no problem. We had some custom logo's made for them and they turned out perfect. Special thanks to Roy for doing a spectacular job, as usual! Need something done? Email Roy@AutoBodyWorkshop.com and ask! He can do almost anything! visit my website, join the forum! http://www.SteveMeadeDesigns.com/board

The CD Challenge - 4 18" SMD Woofers + Ported Box Powered by Rockford Fosgate
After installing the new Rockford Fosgate T2500.1bd CP amps in this Tahoe last week, i was trying to figure out what sort of demo i could do with them. So i decided to make a few paper-shred video's with the port. While we were doing that we decided to toss some other stuff in the port to see what would happen. I had some blank CD's layin' around so i decided to see what would happen if i put one by the port. I found it was very hard to hold on to and actually was ripped out of my hand a short time after putting it near the opening. This led me to get a few people to see if THEY could hold the CD. My boy Charles came by and i decided to see if he could do it. Then some other people came by for a demo and i decided to let them try also. You can see the results are pretty predictable. Its hard to show you the kind of wind coming out of that port over the internet but this is one of the best ways i have found, short of putting my head in. Anyway, as usual, we are just having a little fun...because thats what this is all about. *******NOTE********* if you look close you can see some staples showing in the rear trim piece. Those are NOT visible usually but the bass kept making it pop backwards enough for them to show. This is what you see when you see us holding on to it and pushing it back in. After installing the new CP amps the other day, i planned on securing that but i forgot to. So it doesnt look like crap usually, just when the bass pulls all the stuff apart. It will be fixed soon. Work never ends when it comes to a ride like this. There is always something to upgrade and something to fix. Thanks for watching and if you subscribed, THANKS AGAIN! PREVENT CLIPPING! Set AMP GAINS like a Pro! New SMD "Distortion Detector" - Coming SOON!
Ever wonder how to set your amp gains properly? Do you just turn them up till its loud enough for you and call it done? Do you turn them up all the way...... or do you tell your boys "my amp is ONLY up 1/4 of the way"? If you want to set them properly then the only true way to do it previously, is to us an Oscilloscope or "O-Scope" to detect a clipped signal. Well now you have a cheaper yet very accurate alternative, the SMD Distortion Listener (no official name yet). This was developed for and with SMD by Tony of D'amore Engineering and our other partner and electronic guru Juan. It was developed for those who dont have access to an O-Scope or even if they did, they might not understand how to use one. This is a pretty fool proof way to do it, without the scope. Put it this way, this device might not just force you to turn your gain down, in some cases you might have left some of your power "on the table" and werent taking advantage of it. Use tracks ranging from 0db to -10 db (included on the disc) to set your gain overlaps according to the way you play your system. Detailed instructions will be included of course and i promise you this is EASY. Stay tuned to my channel, there will be updates on availability soon as well as another cool little device i plan on showing. Lowering a '90 Nissan 240sx Godspeed Coilovers
As you probably have figured out by now, we do a little of everything at my shop.....suspension, brakes, sound, whatever. My boy Charles ordered up some Godspeed coilovers for his Nissan 240sx and needed a lift and a little bit of help installing them. I told him to bring it over! They worked out really good. The next day he went and got it aligned. Visit my website! http://www.SteveMeadeDesigns.com/board join the forum today!

2015 Lexus NX 200t and NX 300h Detailed Review and Road Test
Check out my other videos! http://vid.io/xqoB Who is Alex? Find out here! http://vid.io/xqoF While Land Rover arguably invented the concept of a luxury SUV with their first Range Rover, the 1998 Lexus RX is the vehicle that's had the single biggest impact on the luxury industry. Initially derided by the press as a lifted Camry with delusions of grandeur, calling the RX a run away sales success would be an understatement. Lexus' original crossover now accounts for over a third of the brand's total volume in America and holds the crown as the best selling luxury vehicle on our shores. Trouble is, the RX has grown over time and is now a half-step too big for European tastes. In the hopes of dominating a third of Lexus brand sales in Europe, Lexus engineers went back to the drawing board and created s little brother for the RX: the 2015 Lexus NX. The right-sized Lexus crossover is, as you'd expect, almost exactly the same size as the Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, BMW X3 and Acura RDX. That puts the NX slightly ahead of the Mercedes GLK, four inches ahead of the 2015 Lincoln MKC and a full foot longer than the Range Rover Evoque. With 6.9 inches of ground clearance the NX should be just as dirt-road capable as the average luxury soft-roader and interestingly Lexus bothers to publish approach and departure angles. In case you're now wondering, approach is 28.7 degrees in 200t and 300h trim and 16.8 deg in the F-Sport because of the flatter front end. Departure remains 24 degrees on all models. Before you ask, the NX isn't a shrunken RX and it isn't a luxury RAV-4 either. Lexus claims that 90% of the parts are unique to the NX and those that are shared are primarily related to the optional hybrid system. Thanks to the clean sheet design, the NX is the first Lexus that looks comfortable in the new corporate uniform. While other Lexus models (namely the LS) wear the "spindle" grille surprisingly well, other aspects of the new design language haven't translated well to the luxury brand's utility vehicles. The "Nike swoosh" LED daytime running lamp modules that look oddly out-of-place on the IS sedan actually work on the NX and I found myself wondering why. I think the answer can be found in the headlamp module which is much sleeker than in other Lexus models thanks to standard LED low beams. Overall the combination allows for a more balanced front end. From tip to tail there's no doubt that the NX's design won't be for everyone, but I find that refreshing for a brand long known for design-restraint. I wouldn't exactly call it the looks ground breaking or polarizing, but this is as close as Lexus has even been. Although Lexus is making an NX F-Sport Hybrid, Lexus has chosen to not offer the aggressive grille and fuel-sipping engine combo in America.Under the hood beats the first turbo engine Lexus has sold in America: an all-new 2.0L direct-injection turbocharged four-cylinder engine. While the engineers spent most of their time telling members of the press how fantastic their turbo design is, I was more intrigued that this seems to be the first non-hybrid drivetrain that can switch between an Otto and an Atkinson cycle. (Mazda tells me they do not consider the SkyAcitv design an Atkinson cycle.) The technology behind this is a new variable valve timing system that can adjust the intake and Exhaust cam timing independently allowing for a late intake valve closure when efficiency rather than torque is required. Also on the trivia list is an air-to-water Intercooler instead of a more typical air-to-air unit. The result is 235 horsepower from 4,800-5,600 RPM and 258 lb-ft from 1,650-4,000 RPM. Rather than borrowing the 8-speed automatic used in the RX350 F-Sport (and the XC60), Lexus chose to refresh an existing 6-speed auto and tweak it for the turbo engine's low-end torque. The engineer I spoke with claimed that the rationale behind the missing gears was that "an 8-speed automatic isn't as much fun with paddle shifters." Make of that what you will.

Delicious Candy Blue SMD Escalade Bagged on 26's (Update 6) Blacked Out
The weekend is here and i decided to snatch up Chickens Caddy from the paint shop (Autobody Workshop, Sacramento, California) for a few days to get it all put back together again. Since you have seen it last, i added brand new LED Tail Lights, tinted Headlights, and got the door panels and A pillar's back in place. Roy Devore, the man responsible for laying down the Candy, also shot the tail lights for me with a blend of clear with black. It worked out great! After i got the system up and running, i called Mike at Tint 2k in Sacramento to come by and black out the windows. We ended up going with 5% all the way around on the 4 doors (i previously did the rear 3 myself) and 30% on the windshield. He wont drive this too much so its fine. Its fine anyway, its not as dark on the inside as it looks. You can see fine. Anyway, i just thought i would show you guys how this thing is turning out and what it looks like in the California sun. I still have work to do, i am adding Ridetech Titanium Shocks on all 4 corners starting next week. I also have a few nick nacks to handle and it should be ready to finally go home! Just in case you didnt know what those amps in the back are, they are 2 Rockford Fosgate T15k Amplifiers. There is 8 Fi BTL 18's and all Rockford Fosgate Mids/highs. Windows PC 10.2" Touchscreen and more....basicly the works. It is sitting on custom one-off, staggered 3 Piece Wheels by AZA ( http://www.azaforged.com ) wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero 295/25/26" Tires. Upoholstery is by Sean Kat, Kat Kustom Interiors Sacramento. I did some of it myself, but the stitching was all Sean Kat. Brakes by Wilwood: 16" Rotors 6 Piston calpers front , 14.5" 4 Piston Rear.... Paint of course by Roy Devore Roy@autobodyworkshop.com if you have any questions The song used in the end is by Dee of Hallway productions - he just dropped his mix tape the other day. 2008 Lexus IS-F Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Tour
Well ever since I did the video on the 2011 IS-F I have been on a search for the famous ultrasonic blue mica that had been featured in all the original press releases for the IS-F upon it's release. Plus I wanted a more smooth orchestrated video that taught viewers a little more about the history behind the car, my search is over and I hope everyone enjoys! In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2008 Lexus IS-F. This car is also part of the vast hendrick performance collection. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle. Thanks a lot to Hendrick BMW of Charlotte, NC for allowing me to film this video!
