Audi 200 20v quattro got stuck in snow

I tried to play with quattro again. Here you can see first try to get out of snow in reverse gear: success. After that I tried to make it throught snow but that did not work out. I was trying to get out for five minutes and I made it in reverse gear only after that time... One more problem was that rear difflock automatically disengages after some effort (related to speed). Now I plan to make another button to disable this feature.

This shows how the EDS diffbrake system makes the car move out of this diagonal wheel spin. with only open differentials, one front and one rear wheel would spin, and even if the spinning front wheel got contact with the ground, so that both front wheels had traction, the car would NOT move without EDS, because the torsen center diff cannot transfer any torque if one of the axles loses traction completly, as if one rear wheel is off the ground like in this video, then that would be the only wheel that would spin, all others would stand still. So the EDS uses the brake to brake the spinning rear wheel so the other side that has all the weight also gets some torque and add a overall load to the rear axle, making the torsen transfer equal torque divided by the built-in Torque Bias Ratio (TBR) witch i guess is 1:3 on this car, so the front wheels gets the rear wheel torque divided by 3, witch makes the car move.

Starting my Suzi Q up for the first time after 5 years as a Garden ornament and local landmark. taken off the road in 2003 because of a blown head gasket. (Too much mucking around with the turbo pressure I think !!) Consistently robbed for spares for other various Audis I decided to give her one last chance before she totally disappeared!

Audi 80 quattro im Schnee - das ist artgerechte Haltung! ;-)
Mit einem Audi 80 quattro, Typ 89 (volkstümlich: B3) im sauerländischen Tiefschnee. Das Fahrzeug ist aus der letzten Bauserie vor dem großen Facelift, Herstellung August 1990. Das fast 25 Jahre alte Konzept setze 1986 (Premiere) in vielerlei Hinsicht die Benchmark: Nicht nur mit wegweisendem, zeitlosen Design und vollverzinkter Karosserie, sondern vor allem durch seine quattro-Antriebstechnik. Über ein zentrales, selbstsperrendes Torsen-Differential wird die Antriebskraft permanent 50:50 an die Achsen verteilt. Rein mechanisch und ohne jede Regelelektronik kann es je nach Fahrbahnzustand die Kraft variabel zwischen 75:25 und 25:75 (vorn/hinten) verteilen. Sollte das immer noch nicht reichen, kann das Hinterachsdifferential manuell vom Fahrer gesperrt werden, so dass ein starrer Durchtrieb erreicht wird. So erreicht der Audi quattro ein hervorragendes, sehr sicheres Fahrverhalten und eine Traktion, die ihresgleichen sucht (andere Hersteller waren damals froh, wenigstens einen halbwegs brauchbaren Front- oder Heckantrieb hinzukriegen). Jetzt aber folgt der Extremtest: Im Alltag ist quattro unschlagbar - aber reicht dieses Technik-Feuerwerk, um auch einen verschneiten, steilen und äußerst unebenen Rodelhang hochzufahren? Ausgerüstet ist das Fahrzeug mit handelsüblichen Winterreifen (Vredestein Snowtrac 3).
