Red Bull's Mad Mike, hungry for the championship title, claimed the first round victory and $5,000 NZ in prize-money thanks to SHRED Motorsport. Nakang Tyres driver Andrew Redward finshed second overall while Fanga Dan put the new Castrol Edge Commodore in third.
