The Making of the Triple Eight: Project Sandman Tribute Edition Holden V8 Supercar
The Triple Eight Project Sandman Tribute Edition is the product of the
combination of one idea, an Australian motoring icon, six months of blood,
sweat and tears and one V8 Supercar team.
Born out of the Triple Eight Race Engineering stable in Brisbane,
Australia, the vehicle is a one-off concept with a twist. With equal parts
tribute and racing technology, the Triple Eight Project Sandman Tribute
Edition is a two-seater, 700HP beast, with more power, straight-line speed
and technology than your standard V8 Supercar.
Taking influence from the pinnacles of modern motorsport, Project Sandman
uses an F1-inspired paddle shift gear box and fly by wire throttle system
ensuring that the vehicle continues to push the boundaries of Australia's
premier motorsports category, V8 Supercars. Project Sandman is capable of
reaching speeds of over 300km/h while maintaining the pure thrill and
adrenaline rush of a Red Bull Racing Australia V8 Supercar.

727ci Holden HSV - 1200+ hp
From the POWERCRUISE in Houston, TX - There aren't too many street cars
you're going to find in the world with over 500 cubic inches under the
hood, our friend Gup, From Australia (and originator/owner of Powercruise)
owns this insane Holden HSV witha 727ci motor in it! The car was being
broken in so it wasn't at full power... and as you'll notice, the way these
guys like to play, spinning is just part of the game!
LS1 turbo Holden VK ~ LS1PWR Performance
Daniel's VK Calais is powered by a stock internal 346ci LS1 GM V8 engine.
Boost comes from a ProBoost TA45 turbocharger with power driving through a
Powerglide trans and Ford 9in rear. The Holden ran into the nines on 275mm
Street Radial tyres, full Exhaust and
on regular pump 98-octane unleaded. Current power is 399kW / 534hp at the
tyres on 12psi Boost.

on Sam's engine Dyno.

Having already run a 9-second pass on pump unleaded, Con's turbocharged Holden VF Commodore is back on the Dyno with a few changes.
The car is powered by a C&A Auto Fashion 410ci LS stroker V8 engine and Boosted by a Garrett GTX4204R turbocharger.

This is Race 3 in the Sports Sedan support category. Started 16th and
finished 16th. Fastest full chassis metal sports sedan, excluding ex-V8
Supercars. Ran a PB of 2 min 30 secs. Top Speed on Conrod 251km/h.
