1978 Peterbilt 359 started up after 8 years of sitting
My old Peterbilt had been sitting for 8 years. We thought we had better
fire it up before any more time went by, so we primed the fuel lines with
fuel and rounded up four old car batteries, gave the glow plugs 20 seconds
to warm things up - - - and she fired right up - - this is Part 1 - - first
firing after 8 years. It is a Cat 3406-A engine
1969 Camaro RS/SS First Start up in 28 Years
Work on getting my dads new project car, a 69 Camaro started after sitting for
28 years untouched and uncovered in an Anchorage, Alaska back yard. It was
originally a big block/4speed car but was swapped to a 327 in the early
80's. The engine was covered in leafs, moss and debris and had no air
cleaner, headers or half the spark plugs when we got it. The car has been
parked since 1984, watch to see if we get it going! Don't pay any
attention to the Z28 badges someone added those long ago and it was
originally Daytona Yellow not white. More details coming soon....

1909 Cadillac First Start in 79 Years
This 1909 Cadillac was stripped down into a speed car, raced and then
parked in 1934. I was acquired in the early 1960's for restoration. The
restoration was put on hold for many years and then re-started a few years
ago. After multple checks of the ignition and timing we finally achieved
the first start on July 28, 2012. There is still more to do to tune the
engine and sort it out for driving later this year.
The spray on the first try happened when we left the primer cups open. It
runs better with them closed.
And the owner did make it a bit easier by adding an electric starter to the

anyone identify any others? I will add them to the video if confirmed 100%.

Totally 100% Original 1980 Trans Am Survivor Barn/Yard Find Sat for 20 Years
This video is the actual first time seeing this car for myself. It was
pulled out from the original owners back yard and pulled to a friends home
until I could get there. This day it was 102 degrees outside so sorry for
all of the puffing going on. This car was going to be scrapped after a
mechanic came to see it and he said this car will never run. Well he was
totally mistaken. Car sat outside for 18 years and its still not a rust
bucket.. We got it running and now working on the carb. UPDATE. WE REBUILT
THE CARB TWICE AND REPLACE THE GAS TANK, ALL GAS LINES, SPARK PLUGS WATER
PUMP, RADIATOR AND 3 BENT PUSH RODS AND 2 BROKEN ONES. SHE NOW IS A DAILY
DRIVER AND RUNS LIKE NEW AND BURNS NO OIL. I HAVE PUT OVER 4,000 MILES ON
HER IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS WITH NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER. GO TO MY PAGE AND YOU
WILL SEE THE OTHER VIDS OF HER PROGRESS
Me and my dad see my dad's old car for the first time in 20 years.
He sold the car over 20+ years ago when he was an alcoholic. Said he
probably would have died in it. This is the first time he saw it since he
sold it over 20+ years ago. The car does look in relative good shape, we
have no idea what has been done with the car over the past 20 years. It
obviously wasn't sitting there for 20 years and nobody claims it to be. Pay
attention, people. 1964 Buick Rivera. 425 Wildcat V8 w/ 427 horsepower.
