1969 Camaro RS/SS First Start up in 28 Years
Working on getting my dads new project car, a 69 Camaro started after sitting for 28 years untouched and uncovered in an Anchorage, Alaska back yard. It was originally a big block/4speed car but was swapped to a 327 in the early 80's. The engine was covered in leafs, moss and debris and had no air cleaner, headers or half the spark plugs when we got it. The car has been parked since 1984, watch to see if we get it going! Don't pay any attention to the Z28 badges someone added those long ago and it was originally Daytona Yellow not white. More details coming soon.... Surprise! Son builds parents their dream cars, bringing them to tears.
Hi, my name is Dan Cummings. @Bombersgarage Please share the proudest moment of my life as I put together the perfect day to reveal 2 custom built cars I spent the better part of a year building in secrecy. Long story short, My mother and I put together a plan to steal my step fathers 1972 Pontiac Catalina Convertible and completely restore it as a surprise. He only knew that we had taken the car. He had no idea where, or when he would get it back. The car meant the world to him as his grandparents had given it to him shortly before their passing. We had driven the car for years before time had taken its toll. I grew up riding in, and eventually learning to drive in this car. In this video, he has NO IDEA what he is walking into when we reveal his car to him. He thought he was meeting a childhood friend, (who was in on the secret) downtown Lincoln, NE at the newly built rail yard next to the Pinnacle Bank Arena. I rented out the space so that many could join and witness the hard work put into showing the appreciation we had for him. Only thing was, is that I had another secret I held for months. The whole time my mom and I were building his car, I was also building her, her favorite car. Both were completely in shock that day. Im grateful that no one had a heart attack. I hope this video inspires people to step out of their comfort zone and do something great for someone else. It was a great feeling. Months of blood sweat and tears turned into one of the most touching things i've ever been a part of. My name is Dan. These are the most loving parents anyone could ever ask for. Today is the day that I pay them back. Please enjoy Dan Cummings, Lincoln, NE Please visit my shop at Bombers Garage on Facebook Like and Share!
