Suspension lift kit install on a 2002 2500 Chevy
Installing the front part of a suspension lift on a torsion bar type front suspension. The torsion key change might be similar for 1997 through 2010 Chevy and GMC 1500 and 2500's 2 and 4 wheel drives. This is a 3" front and 4" rear lift. In my opinion the front portion of this lift kit is poorly designed/cheaply made. This truck most likely rides like a lumber wagon now.

Chevy Silverado 2 inch Rough Country Leveling Kit Install Part 1
The front shocks were pretty easily installed by myself. I recommend getting shock boots! I was too impatient to order and wait for them but they'd look a whole lot better with em. I just removed the nut on the top first, and then removed the bolt securing the bottom and pulled the old shock right out. With a little muscle you can compress the new on and set it into place pretty quick. Only took me about 30 min to complete this part for both sides.

Chevy Silverado 4x4 2inch Complete Rough Country Leveling Kit
$190.00 off of the website and installed in about 4 hours (newb time) New nitro 9000 shocks in the front and rear, new torsion keys, and new 3 inch blocks beneath the rear leaf springs with this new Rough Country 2 inch leveling kit. Rides GREAT! just as soft and before on road and did some close corner circles and it handled and sways the same as the stock drive. The truck sits higher and definitely has the lifted truck feel. You can easily fit 33 inch tires in there however I like the 31.5 look, I have BFG Rugged Terrain 265/70/R17's on here now and they look fine. I still have some room to lift the front but I like to have a little rake. You can go as high as 2 inches. Hope this helps any Silverado owner looking for a lift in the same market. I know I spent days on you-tube and forums. I'm glad I went for this kit. Thanks guys.
