COBB Tuning Surgeline customer Matt Kincaid has owned his Subaru WRX since 2002. This car has had more facelifts than Ashly Simpson and yet remains the cleanest WRX we have ever seen. Last year this car became one of the fastest cars in the United States when Matt posted a 10.5 ET. Now Matt is back after an extensive rebuild and looking to break the 9-second barrier with a built 2.5-liter engine, stock STI 6-speed transmission and a 42R turbocharger. Built and tuned at COBB Tuning Surgeline, Matt is knocking on the door of his goal with a 10.1 drag pass!

COBB Tuning Surgeline Drag WRX at Import Face Off
This is Matt Kincaid's 2002 WRX/STI. Matt has owned this car since new in 2001 and it has undergone every modification fad since the beginning of the Subaru craze in the US. From a Unichip, to a UTEC and an FPGreen, this car has seen it all. Today the car runs mid-9 second passes. At Import Face Off at Woodburn Drag Strip in Woodburn, OR., Matt ran back to back 9.5-second passes at 143mph! The car was built at COBB Tuning Surgeline in Portland, OR and is the distilation of everything that COBB Tuning knows about big power Subarus! The car featues a full race turbo kit, Garrett 4088 turbo, a fuel system featuring dual Bocsh 044 fuel pumps and a surge tank and ID 2000cc injectors pumping E85 from a local gas station. The engine has Cossie heads, a fully built bottom end with STOCK sleeves. This setup makes about 612whp at 28psi. The car is still street legal and can be driven on the road. It runs in the street class has full working interior, glass and power windows and weighs in at about 3,000lbs. Matt will be running at the NOS Fest at Pacific Raceways June 25th!
