1983 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler 4x4 frame off restoration. (Everything is new or rebuilt)
These Jeep's were only produced from 1981-1985. This CJ8 has had a full frame off restoration with only 750 miles since restoration. Always garaged and adult driven.
AMC 360-V8 bored and balenced, RV torque & towing cam, Edlebrock aluminum intake, Holly 4 barrel carburetor, Edlebrock coated shorty headers, custom aluminized duel Exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, K & N air cleaner, Aluminum valve covers, rebuilt 727 automatic transmission, Dana 300 transfer case, brand new Factory Air Conditioner, B&M slap shifter, heavy duty Off Again power master cylinder, heavy duty radiator, Rebuilt AMC rear 1 piece wide track axel shaft, with 373 gears, rebuilt Dana 30 front axel with 373 gears, new balljoints, stering arms & tie rods, wheel berrings, all new brakes, longer ss flex brake lines, new fuel lines, Optima battery, etc....$6500 into paint job, Custom paint (base blue, metallic, then candy apply red) blue in the shade / purple in the sun. Original mint condition frame was sandblasted and POR painted, brand new steel tub - factory primer media blasted off and all new epoxy etched primer used, new fenders & windshield frame. New windshield glass & alll new rubber body gaskets(doors, windows, tailgate etc), Original fiberglass 1/2 hard top, tailgate, grill, doors, hood & divider panel were used. Inner fenders, undercarrage, grill & firewall all prepainted before assembly, body was prepped, seam sealed & edge painted with no glass in it when painted, underside of body & inside floor /walls tuff coated before it was painted. Skyjacker 4 inch soft ride lift & new stering stabilizer, greaseable shackles, (5) 33 x 12.5 x15 inch BF goodrich all terraine tires, (5) Ultra aluminum rims with locking lug nuts, custom bumper front with shackle mounts and 4Wheel drive rear bumper with heavy duty swing away tire mount & 2 in receiver, full & ½ hard doors, am/fm cd player, all new lights, wiring, new Super seats, Tuffy locking center console, KC off road lights, Grant steering wheel, ss glove box cover, new mirrors, tubed running boards, etc....used fixed rear seat added. This Jeep has been gone through top to bottom and has a huge number of new
parts installed. The following are the upgrades/replacements installed on
the Jeep. Total miles on the Jeep are around 116k. All upgrades have less
than 3,000 miles on them. The jeep starts and runs great.

I'm probably missing some other things that have been done, but as you can
see most everything is New or refurbished. The body is in OK condition, any
rust has been repaired. It is an '83 CJ, so it's not perfect, but could
clean up really nice. Only known issues: Temp gauge isn't working & the
door latches need some adjustment.

more than just a mud toy. If that sounds like your scene, take a minute and
get to know this killer 1980 Jeep.
This '80 CJ7 takes its legendary traits and covers them in an eye-popping
coat Porsche Guards Red that contrast perfectly with the long list of black
and chrome accessories found across the vehicle. The paintwork presents
well, casting even reflections from nearly any point on the body tub. The
paintwork is continued onto a 1979 Pack Mule trailer included in the sale,
which has been finished to the same high standards as the Jeep itself.
Lift the hood and you'll find classic Jeep power in the form of an AMC 401
cubic inch V8 borrowed from a Wagoneer of the same era. These engines made
somewhere in the neighborhood of 215 hp and 320 lb. ft. of torque in stock
form, but this one has received a number of upgrades including a Holley
Street Avenger carburetor, Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, Edelbrock
headers, and a MSD ignition system. Turn the key and the engine fires to
life, settling into a mellow idle.
Behind the engine, a three-speed automatic transmission takes care of
shifting duties, while a Dana 300 transfer case divides the 401's power
between a Dana 30 front axle and an AMC 20 rear. Around the drivetrain,
updated leaf springs and a set of Fox Racing shocks add up to a total of
four inches of lift. That lift helps accommodate a set of aluminum Mickey
Thompson wheels wrapped in tall 33-inch BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain T/A tires.
Even the trailer has leaf springs and 31's! Power steering and power brakes
make the CJ surprisingly easy to operate.
Open up the doors and you'll find a great example of the utilitarian
interiors Jeeps are known for. The configuration is based around two
high-back bucket seats and a small bench seat, all wrapped in waterproof
Bestop seat covers. A lockable center console has been added but the nearly
everything else is pure Jeep design.
This CJ started its restoration nicer than most and ended up a head-turning
show-worthy stunner equally as capable off-road as it is in the show field.
