2012 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Test Drive & Sports Sedan Car Video Review

http://www.autobytel.com/mitsubishi/lancer-evolution/2012/?id=32972 It's hard to find a vehicle that is as amazing as the 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution for under $40,000. This sport compact car offers great acceleration, loads of power, and a high tech AWD system that rivals sports cars costing twice as much. The Evo is built to be bulletproof withstanding the abuses of Rally car racing. Base price on a 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is $34,495. Only 2 cars come to mind when you think about high performance at an affordable price tag; the Subaru STi and the Mitsubishi Evolution. These turbocharged AWD monsters have been inevitably pitted against one another for over a decade. The 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 liter MIVEC 4-cylinder engine that makes 291 horsepower and 300 lb-ft. of torque. Transmission choices are a 5-speed manual or a trick Twin Clutch-Sportronic Shift Transmission with paddle shifters. 0-60 MPH blasts by in less than 5 seconds. The all-wheel drive system called Super All-Wheel Control is very revolutionary allowing the Evo to send power to wither the outside or inside wheels resulting in awesome handling and cornering ability. Huge Brembo brake rotors and calipers are standard and provide excellent stopping power. On the inside the 2012 Mitsubishi Evolution comes with Recaro Sport Seats which are found on many racing applications and high end sports cars. The seats provide much need support in spirited driving situations. Aluminum trim pieces tie the interior together. On the outside the Evo comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 245 series performance tires. The aluminum roof lightens the car while also reducing the center of gravity which adds to the handling prowlness. Each Evolution comes with HID headlights that not only look cool but make for a safer drive at night. The Evolution is a car that is built for fun and serious performance. The 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is a car that wants to be driven on the track. This car can make and average driver into a much better driver thanks to the intelligent AWD system. There are many reasons to buy a new Evolution: it is powerful, it sounds great, it can handle, and the list goes on and on. Maybe the best part is the 5 year 60,000 mile warranty on a car that is bound to be abused. 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/mitsubishi/lancer/2012/?id=32972 What's so great about the 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer? Well first off this car has the same aggressive look and stance as its more expensive older brother; the Evolution. The Lancer also has a base price of under $16,000. Next the Lancer gets excellent fuel economy. Another cool thing about this car is you can opt for Mitsubishi's famous AWD system. So the base model 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer is powered by a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 148 horsepower and 145 lb-ft. of torque. This is also the engine that gets 25 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway. The mid-level GT model has a larger 2.4 liter engine that makes 168 horsepower and 167 lb-ft. of torque. This car costs a bit more and get slightly less fuel economy figures. But the GT does come loaded with a ton of great features and options. The real shining star of the line-up is the Lancer Ralliart AWD edition. This car features a wagon design called the Sportback. Besides looking ultra cool, the Ralliart features a turbocharged power plant and paddle shifters. The engine is basically the same turbocharged MIVEC motor as the Evo just detuned a bit. There is still plenty of power as the Lancer Ralliart produces 237 horsepower and 253 lb-ft. of torque. 2013 Scion FR-S New Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/scion/fr-s/2013/?id=32972 The FR-S in the 2013 Scion FR-S stands for front engine, rear wheel drive sports car. This 2-door coupe is a very fun car to drive and is a joint venture between Toyota and Subaru. Back in 2007 the 2 manufacturers decided to build this car together so much of the engine technology, parts, and even the chassis is shared. Base price on the 2013 Scion FR-S is $24,200. The 2013 Scion FR-S is powered by a 2.0 liter boxer engine which is a essentially a flat-4 cylinder motor developed by Subaru. Power is pretty good for a naturally aspirated 2.0 liter engine at 200 horsepower and 151 lb-ft. of torque. There are 2 different transmission choices: a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The automatic transmission is much more fuel efficient at 25 MPG in the city and 34 MPG on the highway. The Scion FR-S was designed to be a great handling everyday affordable sports car and while this vehicle does not have a ton of power, it does have a great center of gravity and almost perfect weight distribution (for a front engine car) at 55% front and 45% rear. To illustrate just how serious the engineers are about the handling capabilities of the 2013 Scion FR-S, the car has a lower center of gravity than both a Nissan GTR and Porsche Boxster which are considered some of the best handling cars in the world. The exterior of the Scion FR-S conveys a ton of fun. Scion calls this styling Neo-Functional Design and the car is all about being low, light, and beautiful. It is all about power-to-weight ratio in this car and features like an aluminum hood help keep the curb weight down to 2750 lbs. The 17-inch alloy wheels are not only very stong and lightweight but they also look good! The dual Exhaust system and rear diffuser really tie the whole look of the rear end together. With the 2013 Scion FR-S you will be able to accessorize and customize this car in a number of different ways by choosing the paint color, adding optional wheels and a body kit, or upgrading the stereo. The Scion FR-S was designed from the ground up to be an affordable car that you could drive on the streets then take out on the track for a little fun. 2013 Hyundai Veloster Turbo Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/hyundai/veloster/2013/?id=32972 When the Hyundai Veloster was released in 2011 many enthusiasts were excited to see a fantastic looking and affordable sport compact car that would give the other hot hatchbacks in the segment a run for their money. The let down came when the hood was opened to reveal a 138 horsepower 1.6 liter naturally aspirated engine that was more suited for fuel efficiency rather that for performance. Well now you can have your cake with the release of the 2013 Hyundai Veloster turbo! The base price on the turbo model is $21,950. The 2013 Hyundai Veloster turbo is powered by a twin-scroll turbocharged 1.6 liter 4-cylinder engine based on the standard Veloster Gamma GDi engine. The turbo motor has a lower compression ratio at 9.5:1 to handle the added Boost pressure. The gasoline direct injection (GDi) motor also sports Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing (D-CVVT). Power output for the turbo engine is 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft. of torque which puts the Veloster turbo right in the middle of the sport compact car pack. The standard transmission is a 6-speed manual but there is also is 6-speed automatic version with paddle shifters. The manual is the more fuel efficient transmission at 26 MPG in the city and 38 MPG on the highway. On the outside the Hyundai Veloster turbo model is distinguishes itself from the regular model in a few ways. For started, the Veloster turbo has a huge wide-mouth front grille opening to let in vast amounts of cool air. There is also a lower lip spoiler on the turbo model. Another cool feature found on the turbo-only model are the LED lights front and back. The front projector headlights sport LED daytime running light accents which are normally reserved for high end luxury vehicles. The wheels on the Hyundai Veloster turbo are 18-inch alloy units that combine both a matte and chrome finish. The limited edition matte gray pain job will set you back an additional $800, but the finished result is well worth it. The standard non-turbo Veloster features squared Exhaust tips while the turbo model has rounded ones. The 2013 Hyundai Veloster turbo can be considered one of the hottest new hatchbacks on the market. Not only does the Veloster turbo have over 200 horsepower, but this car can get up to 38 MPG on the highway. The 2013 Veloster turbo looks great and comes packed with tons of standard features. Check us out at our website: http://www.dgmotorsnys.com Or our facebook: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/D-G-Motors/104125642986062 DG Motors is Located at 666c West Hoffman Ave. Lindenhurst NY 11757 Here is phase 1.5 of tuning our re-built Lancer Evolution X Gsr for the late 2010 racing season. This build consisted of replacing our stock appearing blouch dominator 2.0 turbo (which ran a best pass of 11.4 @ 122mph) with an Extreme turbo Systems Billet T3 PT67-65 turbo Kit. We also removed the entire long block out of the car to be custom built to our specs with a full Cosworth Bottom End. We are now using Cosworth Pistons, Rods, Bearings, Rings, and Head Gasket. Gino, from Evolution Racing Engines in Amityville, Ny performed a complete Port and Polish along with an extreme valve job to match GSC's S2 274/274 Camshafts high duration and lift. Furthermore, an AMS 600HP Fuel System was customized by us in utilizing Twin External/In-Line Bosch 044 Fuel Pumps feeding a -8 Feed and Return line to an AMS Fuel Pressure Regulator Kit and AMS Fuel Rail feeding Fuel Injector Clinics 2150 c.c Injectors. We also decided to purchase an Exedy Twin HD Re-Build kit to freshen up our clutch which had numerous mid-11 second passes at EnglishTown, Race Way Park. Last but not least, The new Tial Q 50mm Blow Off Valve replaced the stock metal valve which starts leaking at the 27psi marker. We have now successfully maxed out the stock factory MAF Housing which registers 4.99 Volts from Peak Boos/Torque to our Red-Line of 10,000rpm. The stock factory MAP Sensor also caps itself out at 33.4psi. We are upgrading to an Omni 4-Bar map sensor to run upwards of 50psi in hopes to max out our Precision T3 Billet 67-65 turbo and achieve an absolute minimum of 825whp. Our conclusion for the 2010 Racing Season motivates us to become a few World Record Holders consisting of: The World's Highest HP Evo X Gsr with the Stock ECU, Stock MAF, and E-85 Fuel. Lastly, we are motivated to become The World's Fastest and Quickest Evo X Gsr, period...Extreme thanks goes out to all our sponsors, clients, friends, and fans who are making all of this possible, especially: Extreme turbo Systems, Ams Performance, Evolution Racing Engines, Cosworth, GSC, Precision turbo, Fuel Injector Clinic, Tial, Hallman, Supertech, Exedy, Ecuflash/Evoscan (Tephra, Golden).
