Mark Kauffman resets the NA Pontiac Door Car record by running a 7.25 @ 189 mph. He did it with a 2009 Pontiac GXP equipped with a KRE built MR-1A 535 cid engine topped off with KRE WARP 6 cylinder heads. The DA was over 3700 feet when the record was set. Look for this car to dip into the 6 second range in better conditions. Congratulations to Mark Kauffman and the KRE Team!

1962 Pontiac Catalina 421 Super Duty - Gateway Motorsports Park - Huge Wheelie
Be sure to check us out on Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/RamblinAroundTV This is a video of an awesome 9 Second, 1962 Pontiac Catalina. This Super Stock Pontiac was racing in the Nostalgia Drags at Gateway Motorsports Park, just outside of St. Louis, MO. It's an original 421 Super Duty car and man do they have it set up right. This thing hooks hard and leaves straight every time. Definitely nothing wrong with a mid 9 second quarter mile at 143 mph. I thought you might get a kick out of that huge wheelie he pulled on the one run. I hope you found it interesting....thanks for watching!
