1979 Pontiac Trans Am 455 H.O. tour
This is a video of the 1979 Pontiac Trans Am H.O. that me and my dad built.
Very powerful car. It has not been Dynoed yet or run on the drag
strip. But it has done a few burnouts ;)
1979 Trans am Olds 374Ci comp. XE284
Oldsmobile 350 with 400 chevy pistons and "H" beam rods, stroked to 3.5"
works out to 374Ci, 10.8:1 Compression, XE284 , Hookers, Flowmasters,
1967 Tempest new camshaft Ultra Dyne 220/226 @ .050 in Pontiac 400
Traded my friend Robert for this camshaft. Came already broken in with a
matched set of lifters. I swapped it out over the last month or so. I
still have to install the temp gauge in the car, so I am not running it
that long yet. Put around 2 miles on it. PULLS!!!! Hard!!! I have to find
the coil bind on the springs. might have just increased redline!!!
1979 Pontiac Trans Am Review 7-22-2008
TestDriveMyRide.com is an idea for car reviews of real cars by real people.
This test video is a review of my 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. This
restored vehicle features a 300 horsepower Chevy 350 V8,
700r4 overdrive transmission, 3.42 rear gears, flowmaster Exhaust, and subframe connectors. Original
black on black t-top vehicle with fresh paint and interior. The original
Oldsmobile 403 only had 180 horsepower, but these cars
can return to the muscle car era with only a few tweaks/mods.
