Starting my '87 Chevy after 3 Years.
Hearing that old Detroit roar to life was like talking to a long-lost friend. Now I need to find an El Camino to stuff this boat anchor into!
Thanks to 1997cr80r for the suggestion
This Colorado was roasted, toasted, and burnt to a crisp!
I caught this flaming crew-cab 4x4 on the way to PT 4/5/12... If I had
more time I would have pulled over.
It appears that the driver escaped, and there were no passengers.
Let's hope they had good insurance!
'82 Mercedes 300TDT First Start In 8 Years
Just bought two more of these wonderful cars. This one is a 1982 model,
that sat behind a barn for 8-10 years. I'm going to use this one as a parts
car, because the car is rusted beyond repair.

Cold Start 1983 Diesel Chevy 6.2
Love them or hate them, this 1983 Chevy ¾ ton 4x4 was given to me not
running. The drive train has about 10,000 miles on it and the electrics
just quit. The owner took the electrics all apart and let it sit for 2
years. After putting it back together I found with the help of my neighbor
a fusible link After replacing it the truck runs quite well. Please
subscribe and rate.
Will the V8 Land Rover start again?
Three years ago I did a cold start video of this Land Rover Series III and
now I thought I'd try again. Marvel as I fight cobwebs, moss growth and get
annoyed at some birds.

Old start/Cold Start Rudy's 1963 Mack B81 w/ 711 Mack Turbo Diesel. First start in 10+ years.
Rudy hauled home his most recent purchase today, a 1963 Mack B81. Two fresh
batteries got it to crank after some tinkering with the terminals. Had to
spray some PB in the turbo and pry it
free with a screwdriver. Started on ether. It's not drawing any fuel at the
moment, that's a project for another day. For now we found out his
contraption is a runner!

D8H 36A First start in ten years
This Caterpillar hasn't been started for ten years because of a broken pony
engine. We made replaced pony motor with a hydraulic motor to get it
started. Starting the main engine required almost ten minutes of cranking
and some ether.

Ford Cummins School Bus SUPER COLD START
SHOWN IN REAL TIME. This is an old video from last winter, with some
No grid heaters (because it doesn't have them)
No glow plugs (Cummins doesn't use those)
No block heater
Sitting for Months.
EDIT 1/21/14 Since people don't read the description, the purpose of this
video was to illustrate starting an old, mechanical diesel without the use
of starting aids. I know damn well how to make one start.
EPIC Best near fail cold start Detroit Diesel smoke show MCI MC9 bus
*READ This is the first video with my new Samsung F40 Camcorder. My
batteries are almost 4 years old, they are tired and my fuel is
exceptionally old as well. I haven't added diesel in over 2 years now. I
finally had to put some jumper cables on it. I think an 8V71 starts better.
It was 26 F during the night during the vid it had warmed up a lil to
around 50F. Keep in mind all the fluids/hidden metal are 30-40 F. I have
another cold start vid from last year. This year, I had to grab my car to
jump the bus off after the first attempt failed. I assume engine rotation
speed by the starter affects start up. Even with additives, the diesel is
just old. I put 67 gallons in I believe two years ago which filled it to
the top, there's about 179 gallons, 95% usable I believe.
