SR20DET dyno tuning 480hp street and 630hp drag engines 2004
This video originally appeared as a bonus track on Hard Tuned Imports 3. It shows Dyno tuning of a serious street car with 480hp at the engine from an internally standard S13 black top engine, then engine Dyno tuning of a fully built S15 race engine with an HKS T51R Kai turbo making 630hp. Back in 2004 this was about as much power as anyone had made from an SR20 engine. Of course now with VE heads allowing much higher rpm and E85 fuel allowing much more Boost the best tuners are seeing more than 1000hp, but it's interesting to see where things started out. 900HP SR20 FORMULA DRIFT CAR AT WILLOW SPRINGS BALCONY 2015
Testing some new Parts Shop Max suspension bits and pieces as well as a different rear spring rate, track width and alignment. Didn't get very many laps around Balcony because the transmission was showing signs of worn dog rings and sliders, but the few laps I did get proved the changes were positive ones! Absolutely loving the Hankook RS3 tires I'm running this season. Plenty of consistant grip and very predictable.





1000hp SR20 street Nissan
One of Australia’s quickest 4-cylinder street cars, PJ’s Nissan Silvia has long proved the reliability of the SR20 engine when built right. Back in 2013 the car first dipped into the 8-second zone still using a 5-speed H-pattern gearbox. Pressing on the S13 keep going faster and faster still retaining a 71mm turbocharger. With the aim to go quicker PJ has made some recent changes to the car including a larger Precision 76mm turbo and Haltech Elite computer. However the biggest change has come in the way of an OS 6-speed sequential gearbox. Paul and the Advance team were out recently testing the new combo both on the quarter mile and one kilometer events respectively where traction is now a test for small tyres.
