How to Rebuild a Turbo - Part 1 of 2
Rebuilding a td05h 16g turbo. This process can be applied to many journal bearing turbochargers. :) It definitely comes in handy to know how to do this when you are in this type of hobby.
4/25/12: Small explanation on the balancing of the rotating assembly since I get so many comments regarding it. This particular turbocharger, td05h, has it's rotating assembly components balanced separately. This means each individual part (compressor wheel, turbine wheel/shaft) gets balanced separately. This allows for easy interchangeability of parts in case they need replacing. This is why I am able to install a td05 20g wheel on this turbo without having to balance the entire rotating assembly. THIS IS NOT THE CASE FOR ALL turboS OUT THERE. You need to research whether your specific turbo (if it's not td05h) was balanced as an assembly or "component balanced" like I explained above. This is my buddys 240, basic bolt ons. Car stalls due to a massive vac leak.
Because Ive gotten so many comments on this video Im going to answer a few generic questions:
-Its a MT
-It stalls due to many vac leaks and the incorrect o2 sensor was originally used.
-turbo flutter at low Boost is normal/accepted on any Boosted car that runs a bov

Là on va mettre quelque chose au clair, le projet à été fait pour être unique et ce démarquer des autres. Le SR20DET pousse 370 RWHP après le tune, il y a une clutch twin plate et le différentiel est un 1.5 way. Dans ce vidéo, on nous voient simplement tester le véhicule, voir son comportement et brûler un paquet pneus, notre but n'est pas de faire de la drift, hello, il y a aucun trajet et obstacle. P.S. il n'y a plus de rouille sur le char, allez regarder l'autre vidéo.

I was not trying to "drift", I was in the middle of setting up the ride height and was getting a feel for when it would let go at that specific rake. The car was used for autox/road course events
stock t28 turbo running at only around 9 pounds (garbage Boost controller)
diff was a Kaaz LSD
camera used was a Sony EX1R (I work in film, racing for fun)
