Rat Rod TV Stone's Rat
We visit the workshop of Stone of Fused Metals Fabrication and check out his 48 Chevy Rat. Reincarnated from a stake bed truck, this rat looks like it came out of the ground in a primal forest and boasts a preying mantis inspired front end and a massively wide rear end. Stone does a dry run on the assembly so you could get an idea of how it will look. Plus, we meet up with the car guys behind the Rat City Ruckus car show. 1929 Ford Coupe Hot Rod ~ Running Day 1
So the first day off the trailer we took out the car and it died on us leaving us stranded. Started troubleshooting with the builder and found out it wasn't getting spark. Tracing wires we found that the ballast resistor wire had been pulled out of the spade connector. Simple fix so we're back up and running. More videos to come.

On this episode of HOT ROD Unlimited, we raise a '66 Buick from the dead. After spending 33 years sitting outside in the desert, the broken down Buick Special is revived by David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of HOT ROD and Rick Pewe of 4-Wheel & Off-Road magazine.
Rick's mother bought the car when it was near new and parked it when the transmission failed in 1978. In 2011, the guys spent two and a half days wrenching on the car, with the hopes of driving it home from Phoenix to Los Angeles. Come along for the ride and see what happens!
