HUGE Peugeot Le Mans FLYING Crash
Marc Gene is involved in a huge crash at the pretest of the 2008 Le Mans, with his Peugeot 908 HDI. He crashed with incredible 270 km/h (168,75 m/h)!
Marc was luckily almost unharmed after the crash. He only broke a toe. But the car, did never race again...
Dale Earnhardt Jr ALMS Corvette Crash and Fire Infineon
Dale Earnhardt Jr raced in an American Lemans Series Corvette in 2004 at Infineon. In practice, he had this scary crash where he suffered only minor burns. Earnhardt later said he clearly remembers someone pulling him out of the car (he is obviously dazed after the hit), but in the video, you can see nobody is there to do that.
Petit Lemans 2009 Viper Crash
I was watching the race cars at this section and something told me to get the camera out and start recording. Within a couple of minutes, the GT2 viper spun out and crashed right in front of me. You can see the camera shake as I realize the spinning car is coming right at me. Luckily the loose tire went up the track and not over the fence!
Petit Le Mans - Road Atlanta - Sept. 26, 2009 (HD)
About 4 minutes of footage I shot at the 2009 Petit Le Mans. Race was stopped a little over 4 hours into it on account of rain. I had only filmed from 3 spots at that point so there isn't too much variety in the action. This was the first real use of my new Canon HF S-100. I've edited out my shaky footage (no tripod) but have not altered the video otherwise.
