Forced Induction - Supercharger vs. Turbo Charger
This video was made to describe in moderate detail the differences between Superchargers and turbo Chargers, as well as describing the components, advantages, and disadvantages to each. Complementing the speaking track is a slideshow of related pictures and videos. I hope this video helps some of you curious up and coming mechanics to better understand methods of forced induction. Supercharged Mustang vs LS1 Camaro Z-28 Mustang running Camaro from a 35 roll. would have been a much better race from a dig but the Camaro wouldnt do it. feel free to ask him why, im sure he will watch this and view the comments. prepare for a list of excuses though im warning you. plus the Camaro was auto and left it in drive, it took time to downshift and thats where the Mustang got the big jump from. not to mention the Mustang left about a half second early.
if youre thinking the Mustang should be faster your right, it has about 180,000 miles on the bottom end and those old rings arent holding up to the Boost. Mustang trapped at 109, Camaro trapped at ~104 i think.

LS1 Z28 Camaro with Procharger on the Dyno. Dyno Pull. 2002 Z28 M6 with Procharger D1SC @10psi with twin 4.5" Intercoolers. The numbers on the monitor screen turned out too blurry to read, but best pull that session resulted in 542 RWHP SAE running out of injector at 5300 RPM. Installing larger injectors soon and going back for more tuning.
UPDATE. Installed a Walbro in-tank pump and went back to the Dyno on July 10th, 2010. This time on a Dynapack loaded Dyno. Car put down 546/506.
