XR6 Turbo @ Powercruise 2010
Taipan Motorsport is very proud of both our pit girls (Marta and Camilla)
for there outstanding efforts over the weekend at Powercruise Syd 2010.
Hope you enjoyed the ride Marta. From all the team at Taipan, thanks girls
For those wondering, I did crank the Boost above our Dyno shootout effort just for
Marta, wouldn't you?
Massive shout out to the Team at MR HDT, you guys are the Big Guns of the
event not the cars.
Special thanks to Troy and Michael from turbo Smart, your products are the reason Marta
had such a good time.
Special thanks to CV Performance, your the man Con.
To all the Team at Taipan, Michael, Damian and Scott, funs over, back to
Wicked Worked XR6 Turbo!
We spotted this beast plodding around the city, was VERY much a sleeper,
the bloke even pretended to be slow till the first run on this video,
may want to skip ahead to 0:40 as the sound of the wind is horrible!
1964 Ford Falcon / $100 At a Time
Shane has owned this 1964 ford falcon Sprint 2 door hardtop since 1997 when
he was 15 years old. He bought this car for $500 and made payments "$100 at
a time". The car was a shell when he got it and over the years he has
turned it into a running, and driving classic car with a Ford 302 V8 and a
5-spd manual transmission out of a Mustang 5.0.
Flat shifting xr6 turbo
flat shifting in an xr6 turbo using the
launch control and spark cut revlimiter.
For those that dont know what going on here, i imported a 2 stage spark cut
rev limiter from the USA and fitted to the "coil on plug" ignition in the
xr6t. The limit can be set at whatever rpm you like, i use the forst stage
for launch control and the second stage to limit rpm between shifts. The
advantage in using this system, is that the throttle body stays open, and
the injectors keep flowing fuel whilst the limiter is dropping the spark.
The result, is that the unburnt fuel keeps the turbo spooled, and the open throttle body prevents
the accumulated Boost from dumping
out the BOV. Both of the above are prevented by the factory limiter as it
closes throttle and turns off injectors when the limit is hit.
How to Turbo - Part 1
After buying a Euro car last episode, Marty discovers he has not yet found
his perfect vehicle... In this extended episode, we reveal what he got, and

Also something to note around Mighty Car Mods: we are normal guys and are
not trained mechanics. We like to make interesting car mods and show you
how we've gone about it, but we can't promise that anything we show you
will work for your particular car, or that you won't harm yourself, someone
else, your car or your warranty doing it. Please be safe, be responsible
and unless you know what you're doing, do not fool around with very serious
machinery just because you've seen us make it look so easy. Talk to a
qualified mechanic if you are in any doubt.
