Superior Chevrolet Corvette Turns Record Lap at Mid-America Motorplex
Mike McGinley, driving the Superior Chevrolet sponsored 2008 Corvette C6, set a new track record for the Touring 1 class in the SCCA race May 31, 2009, at Mid-America Motorplex in Pacific Junction Iowa. The new track record, 1:36.906, was set in lap 2 of the 18 lap race. McGinley, who had the pole for the race, qualified at a blistering 1:35.997. The previous track record, 1:37.220 was set by Jim Lynch in 2007.
