Radical repair of a Fiat 127 engine. When big-end bearing seized I removed the belonging piston and it´s opposing brother. Instead of a 1050cc 4-cyl I now have a nice 523cc P-twin with 180 degree crankshaft. (two opposing pistons for best balance). Probably around 25hp left from the engine. The Fiat flats out at about 80 km/h. Questions are how long the engine will last and how big the reduction in fuel consumption will be. O preparador Fernando Kfouri reuniu esforços e conseguiu deixar tudo pronto em apenas 1 semana de trabalho árduo e contínuo. Nessa primeira fase, a preparação aspirada foi priorizada, para que o carro pudesse amaciar e retornar em breve para que a fase nitro seja implementada sem maiores problemas. Os foggers de nitro foram instalados, porém isolados. Esse projeto já tem mais de 4 anos e é um sonho realizado para seu proprietário, que fez questão de estar presente durante toda a construção e configuração do carro. Aguardem, pois esse exemplar único da FIAT ainda vai usar muita borracha de pneu pra contar a sua história e, claro, estaremos lá para registrar tudo!
