Hyundai shocked the world in 2006 when they hired former lead BMW designer
Thomas Burkle. Since then, Hyundai has been on the leading edge of design.
the 2014 Elantra is no different.

2013 Hyundai Elantra | Frontal Oblique Offset (35% Overlap, Driver) Crash Test by NHTSA | CrashNet1
2013 Hyundai Elantra
Impact speed: 90kph/56mph at 15º Angle, 35% moderate overlap.
Head injury criteria(HIC): Driver-344, Passenger-951.
This is a new testing procedure under development by NHTSA. Oblique crashes
engaged on of the main longitudinal member and caused the occupant to move
in an oblique manner. A 2013 Hyundai Elantra was impacted on the front
driver corner by a Research Moving Deformable Barrier. The test vehicle's
mass was 1,590 kg (3,504 lbs), and the RMDB's mass was 2491 kg (5491 lbs).
Driver's side A-Pillar buckled rearward. Resulting in separation between
the top of the
door and roof sill. Windshield cracked throughout with no penetration in
the protected zone. Hood remained latched during the impact event, however
bent upwards exposing the engine compartment.
Thumbs up for the crash test dummies!

What Camerons Car Reviews has to say: The Elantra last got redesigned two
years ago and for 2013 Hyundai has introduced a hatchback and a Coupe for
the Elantra. The Elantra offers an incredible amount of Value for the money
or you can call it bang for the buck. Power in the Elantra comes from a 1.8
L 4-Cylinder made into a 6-Speed Automatic or 6-Speed Manual that gets you
from point A to point B. Features like heated rear seats are high end
luxury features that are not even really seen in this class. EPA classifies
the Elantra as a midsize car, but the Elantra competes directly with
compact cars which puts it as one of the roomiest compacts you can buy.
Compared to it's competitors the Elantra would probably look better than
some, however some people love or hate the styling. If you are looking for
a very roomy comfortable compact car with a lengthy warranty and a variety
of body styles, go with the Elantra Sedan, GT, or, the Coupe as these body
styles are a top choice in this crowded segment.
New Hyundai Elantra Sedan Walkaround Exterior Review
Check out the all new 2013 Hyundai Elantra Sedan as I walk around and show
you some of it's highlights. The car is very sport and beautiful looking
and has been a great purchase so far. This vehicle I can see being the top
selling car of the year. New reports are showing that Hyundai is having a
hard time producing enough to keep up with the demand. Let me know what
else you'd like to see on the car and I'll shoot another video for you.
2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited (Tech Package) Review
Review of my 2013 Hyundai Elantra after passing 4000 miles on the odometer.
Update (1-17-13): Car has passed 10000 miles and is currently disassembled
to get the USB upgrade for the back seat. I am also adding illuminated cup
holders during this installation. I'll provide a link to the new review
once the upgrade is finished. I will also comment more on the "tech
package" part of the car as this was requested by one of my viewers. Stay
2013 Hyundai Elantra GT
Think Hyundai just slapped a GT badge and sporty trim on the Elantra and
called it good? Think again. Tom Voelk checks it out.
2012 Hyundai Elantra Limited Edition - Hyundai of Tempe
The 2012 Elantra is Hyundai's compact model with 40mpg on the highway. The
sedan's interior and exterior features have made this sedan ALG's Residual
Value Award winner for two years running. In comparison to the Honda Civic,
Toyota Corolla and Nissan Sentra, the Elantra has the best gas mileage with
an impressive style.

Elantra Limited or GLS? Which to buy?
Check out my review and critique on the Hyundai Elantra in both GLS and
Limited trims. The all new 2013 Elantra is one of the best and most
affordable mid sized sedans on the market right now and I compare and
contrast the two optional packages. The Limited carries a premium but also
comes with luxury features like leather seating and heated front and rear
seats. Check out my review!
