Jason Hart: McLaren P1 New Texas World Speedway Track Record 1:45.837
This is a New Track Record at TWS for an OEM street tire, street legal, showroom stock vehicle. Joey Todd who handles the record keeping was on hand and verified the event, Thanks Joey. I must admit the Trofeo R's do very well, but the pressure the P1 puts on them makes for a tidy lap or you risk putting too much heat in them resulting in loss of lap time. The P1 hit a sustained peak G of 1.79 in Turn 7!!! Most impressive for a 245 front tire even with the uphill compression of the car. I am beyond impressed with the aero, drive train and overall engineering of this car. The point which gets the most respect ahead of all others is the owners desire to track this car with commitment...it is a great opportunity to be chosen and trusted with such resources and for that I am also Thankful beyond words. I hope you enjoy the video if you watch it...J
C7 Z06 at Texas World Speedway -- 1:57.93 lap on street tires
Last NASA event ever at Texas World Speedway in College Station Texas. HPDE sessions running along with racing and time trials. Had a great time. Lots of traffic. Posted is one of the only clean laps I had all weekend.
1:49.38 lap in 2009 Nissan GT-R at Texas World Speedway 2.9 CCW March 14, 2013
This is during the "qualfying" rounds that some of us took part in during the TX2K13 DE at Texas World Speedway. This was my fastest lap ever at TWS. Mods include: Alcon Super Kit brakes with Pagid RS29 pads (Alcon's support sucks btw) JRZ RS Pro Silent with 1000lb/530lb springs Stillen sway bars HKS resonated mid pipe Finspeed 18x10.25 custom rims with Michelin 27/68-18 Cup N1 slicks There is no engine tune...yet...so stock power. Data was captured using a rooted LG G2X with CM7 ROM with a QStarz 818XT external GPS. Video overlay is from a trial version of RaceRender...duh. Video was captured from a GoPro Hero3 Black mounted in my windshield - Sorry I mounted it last minute... The oldest human ever on record was Jeanne Calment from France who was born in February 21, 1875 and died August 4 1997, living for an astonishing 122 years, 164 days... :)
