This is the start and the first few laps of the Saturday race. Fun start, potentially fun race, but about halfway in, my right rear tire started losing air due to a bad O-ring in the valve stem. I tried to hang on until the finish of the race and then less than 2 laps from the end, I lost all power and coasted to a stop off the track. I had to be towed in. I sat in the car for maybe 15 minutes until getting towed and it was 143 degrees in the car. Ugh... I didn't get to race on Sunday because Archer and Dodge were unable to identify the problem. Fortunately, it was a short drive back to DFW from TWS.
Jason Hart: 09/14 McLaren P1 TWS Delivery Texas World Speedway
A friend of mine decided to take delivery of his McLaren P1 at the track
and I must say I could not agree with him more. He ordered the car with the
5 point harnesses as he plans on using this P1 for what it was engineered
for, on track bliss!!! On the video is my first drive followed by 2 laps
done after the first lap. This car lives up to all the hype it now becomes
my favorite street car I have ever driven, previously it was the Porsche
Carrera GT...and I have driven many super cars over the years...Veyron included. I hope you enjoy
the video and there will be additional videos coming with all sorts of
camera angles. J
Spec Racer Ford GEN3 @ Texas World Speedway May 24, 2014
In this cheesy narrated video, I talk about driving the first privately
built GEN3 SRF conversion. G30006 is the motor serial number. This is also
a new car to me (chassis #868) and I've never even sat in it until this
race. We never checked the suspension, camber/toe/caster, alignment, sway
bars or any other settings because we needed all the time just to get the
motor running. So, the first time I drove the car was in a race and I
started in the back in P32. I completed the race in P11. I raced again on
Sunday and we had a chance to tune the suspension. I started P29 and
finished P3. The car was much better and I learned my shift points from the
This video is from the Viper Racing League Invitational Race at Miller
Motorsports Park. What makes it interesting is the Whelen Engineering
Rolex GT car piloted by Eric Curran as well as 3 other Whelen Rolex and
World Challenge cars were entered. Eric's car had a mechanical DNF on
Saturdays race but he lit up the track on Sunday. However, the SMS
Corvette won the Saturday race and was 1st in qualifying so all that was
needed on Sunday was to finish ahead of the Vipers to get the overall win.

NARRA - Sunday Race @ Motorsport Park Hastings - August 7th, 2011
This is the Sunday race in-car video from rolling start to checkered flag.
I started on tires which had 2 qualifyings and 1 race already on them and
the tires began to fall off about halfway into the race. I just tried to
hang on and not do anything stupid and not lose the lead. I'm glad the race
didn't go any more laps because the tires were really getting greasy. :)
