This is the start and the first few laps of the Saturday race. Fun start, potentially fun race, but about halfway in, my right rear tire started losing air due to a bad O-ring in the valve stem. I tried to hang on until the finish of the race and then less than 2 laps from the end, I lost all power and coasted to a stop off the track. I had to be towed in. I sat in the car for maybe 15 minutes until getting towed and it was 143 degrees in the car. Ugh... I didn't get to race on Sunday because Archer and Dodge were unable to identify the problem. Fortunately, it was a short drive back to DFW from TWS.
Spec Racer Ford GEN3 @ Texas World Speedway May 24, 2014
In this cheesy narrated video, I talk about driving the first privately
built GEN3 SRF conversion. G30006 is the motor serial number. This is also
a new car to me (chassis #868) and I've never even sat in it until this
race. We never checked the suspension, camber/toe/caster, alignment, sway
bars or any other settings because we needed all the time just to get the
motor running. So, the first time I drove the car was in a race and I
started in the back in P32. I completed the race in P11. I raced again on
Sunday and we had a chance to tune the suspension. I started P29 and
finished P3. The car was much better and I learned my shift points from the
SCCA Majors Sunday Race - High Plains Raceway - May 4, 2014
Started out P5, lost it in turn 1 and went to P6, gained it back a time or
two and finally kept P5 to the end. The first half of the race is somewhat
fun but got boring the last half when Jim spun out. Fighting it out with
Jim slowed us down so I had no chance to catch the 4th place guy and
decided to just slow it down and save my tires for Texas World Speedway in
2 weeks. Fun first half of the race though. :)
NARRA - Sunday Race @ Motorsport Park Hastings - August 7th, 2011
This is the Sunday race in-car video from rolling start to checkered flag.
I started on tires which had 2 qualifyings and 1 race already on them and
the tires began to fall off about halfway into the race. I just tried to
hang on and not do anything stupid and not lose the lead. I'm glad the race
didn't go any more laps because the tires were really getting greasy. :)
Ferrari 430 Challenge car at Texas World Speedway
Here is a longer version of SW's Ferrari 430 Challenge car going around the
track. Such a nice sounding car.

NARRA USGT Race #1 @ Road Atlanta
This is my in-car video of the full race (well, full race for me) at Road
Atlanta during the NARRA USGT Race #1. I blew a rod bearing in the 10th lap
and watched from the side of the track in turn 5 for the duration of the
race. I was terrified of Road Atlanta at first. But, by this race, I was
getting more comfortable with it. Too bad I didn't get to race on Sunday. I
really need to bring an extra motor with me just in case.
This video is from the Viper Racing League Invitational Race at Miller
Motorsports Park. What makes it interesting is the Whelen Engineering
Rolex GT car piloted by Eric Curran as well as 3 other Whelen Rolex and
World Challenge cars were entered. Eric's car had a mechanical DNF on
Saturdays race but he lit up the track on Sunday. However, the SMS
Corvette won the Saturday race and was 1st in qualifying so all that was
needed on Sunday was to finish ahead of the Vipers to get the overall win.

This is during the "qualfying" rounds that some of us took part in during
the TX2K13 DE at Texas World Speedway. This was my fastest lap ever at TWS.

Sorry I mounted it last minute...

IndyCar Grand Prix of Houston - Spec Racer Ford Race 1 - June 28, 2014
This is the full race from start to finish of Race 1. Lots of carnage and
our race was ended after only 19 minutes of a 30 minute race due to so many
cars disabled on track. In lap 10 we have a pretty major crash in which I'm
involved. I get hit from behind by #8 and I spin. #8 continues forward and
takes #81 out of the race entirely.
Texas World Speedway - The Oval
Texas World Speedway was a NASCAR oval track, but is no longer used for
that. Unfortunately there was an metal to metal accident during our
session. We got to drive on the oval to drive around the accident and get
back to the paddock.
The condition is not so hot. It is also unnerving to drive the bank at such
slow speeds. As you can hear I was properly nervous while heading around
