2012 Land Rover LR4 vs Jeep Grand Cherokee Off-Road Mashup Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Land Rover LR4 and the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee are two of the most off-road worthy family haulers that you can buy. Both can be had with a massive V8 engine and both come with all-wheel-drive to take on the wild Colorado West when the road turns dusty. Both also have the pedigree to call themselves the very best off-road rides that you can buy today. In this TFLcar mash-up review we see which one of these two legendary off-road rides is better in the Colorado Rockies. Is it the 375 horsepower Land Rover LR4 or is it the HEMI powered 360 HP Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Mudding to stuck in seconds, but WK Jeep struggles to pull this beast out
This truck is a heavy beast that got stuck, and the area all around it is this crappy sand which is very tough to get traction on and as you dig, the Jeeps sink in further. Trust me, this is a lot harder than it looks-lol.
Dyno test: 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 at 1 mile above sea level
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 is the fastest and most powerful vehicle that Jeep has ever built. With a massive HEMI engine that produces 470 HP and 465 lb-ft of torque. At Sea Level it will easily accelerate from 0-60 MPH in under 5 seconds. But when we tested the car at about one mile above sea level in Denver we got a 0-60 MPH time of 6.1 seconds. To find out why there's such a significant difference between the two times we put the new Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 on a Dyno and did a Dyno test to determine the real horsepower at all for wheels. Check out this video to find out why car are so much slower at high altitudes than at sea level.
Track Time: The 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 tears up the race track
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 was not originally designed to be a track car...in fact far from it. But for 2012 the Chrysler engineers at the SRT group took this very capable off-road car and transformed it into a track worthy ride.
