1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie XL - Completely Restored - SOLD!
This 1963 ½ Ford Galaxie XL has had a full frame up restoration. The motor was replaced with a 1968 428 Police Interceptor motor built by Cope Performance Associates—and in other words—is one hot ride! While this was done somewhere between 1997-1999 there are only about 10K miles since it was finished and there are over $35K invested.
Modifications to the engine include it being bored .30 over, it has a Hurd hydraulic cam, forged pistons, and Edelbrock RPM performer manifold, a Holley CJ 735 CFM carburetor, 427 cast iron headers, 2-1/2 inch Flowmasters, 4 speed large spline top load and 3:89 rear gears.
A complete interior package from Dearborn Classics that included door panels, seat covers, new seat padding, kick panels and carpeting was installed. The interior looks like it did the day it left the factory. The paint and body work were done at R & T Classic Auto Body.
Originally, it was a Z-code 390 but by the time our seller purchased what was left of the car it was obvious it had had a hard life. Along with the above description of what was done there is also a massive step by step picture album of the restoration that took place to make this car what it is today. This car is even more outstanding in person than it is in pictures or video.
This sports coupe has won many many awards and has been featured in magazines including a full spread in Legendary Ford Magazine. Not only has there been a step by step pictorial of the car, but all receipts are also available. A very thorough and expensive appraisal has just been done on the car and will be available to a serious buyer in a .pdf format. Decided to do a factory stock build this time around. The car is Testors Model Master Metallic Turquoise enamel. I'll be running wires, heater hoses for a little more motor compartment detailing. In this one I clearcoat with Pledge Future Floor Wax (clear acrylic).

puting the 55 chevy gasser up at the shop..yes it has mufflers..its not open headers!! its a 383 ported and polished.. msd... fenderwell headers with dinomax race mufflers...3 speed with trans break...dana 44 rear end with 4:10 gears (was 6:10's) high rise intake from the 60's with 2 holly four's..high lift cam..around 450hp
