It's not a finished car, and there was virtually no time, but when Porsche asks if you want a quick spin in a development 918 you get on the plane.

The Porsche 918 Spyder Tested - CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS
The plug-in hybrid, mid-engine hypercar: The Porsche 918 Spyder. Tested by /DRIVE's Chris Harris at the Valencia circuit in the winter of 2013. The Porsche 918 Spyder has come a long way since when we first saw it at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2010. Competing against the Ferrari LaFerrari and McLaren P1, it is the cheapest of the trio of new hypercars at a base price of $845,000. The engine weights 140 kg according to Porsche and it delivers 608 horsepower (453 kW) at 8,500 rpm and 528 N·m (389 lbf·ft) of maximum torque. This is supplemented by two electric motors delivering an additional 279 hp (208 kW) - One 154 hp electric motor drives the rear wheels in parallel with the engine and also serves as the main generator.

CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS - McLaren P1, the road and track test.
It hit 5 million views on DRIVE, but now it lives on CHOC. A trip I will never forget, and one of the greatest cars I will ever drive. A whole new thing.

Porsche 918 Spyder: a Ride In Porsche's Hybrid Hypercar - /CHRIS HARRIS ON CARS
Porsche was testing the 918 at the Nurburgring, they invited us to take a quick ride on the road, not on the track sadly. I normally hate these shotgun features, unless they involve Group B cars, but the 918 needs some understanding.

The $2000 E30 BMW That Can Do Everything (or Die Trying) -- AFTER/DRIVE
This is the back story of the crap-can (I mean, freaking awesome) BMW 325is we bought for $2000, and of how we'll attempt to take it drifting, off-roading, rallying, and endurance racing (if it doesn't break Ryan's soul first), in The/DRIVE's miniseries /BORN A CAR. More at TheDrive.com
