Monster Jam in Jacksonville, Florida, Travis Pastrana's monster truck, the Nitro Circus performed the first ever successful competition back flip! And, we got it on video!

Can you imagine a Monster Jam monster truck doing a back flip, successfully? Well, we were lucky enough to be there! Plus, who else would you expect, but from Travis Pastrana's truck -- the guy that practically invented doing back flips with machines. :)
Made the whole event worth the admission.
Max D back flip was not in competition and not a full back flip. No, Travis Pastrana was not driving, it was Cam McQueen. No, Nitro Circus did not win, as the monster truck backflip was done in bonus, not regulation time, so he could only get so many points. Grave Digger won the freestyle contest.
Nothing broke on the Nitro Circus monster truck. Cam drove the truck away after the back flip...after coming into the stands, first.

http://JonesFamilyTravels.comOne of the main reasons we homeschool our kids is due to the many travel opportunities we get with our travel business. One of those opportunities recently allowed us to go on a Disney Cruise out of Port Canaveral. The kids were able to come along and learn about the Bahamas, about cruise ships, the jobs people have on these ships, and many more things. They had a fair amount of fun, too. :)
We sailed on the new Disney Dream. She's a couple years old, now, but still one of the new-design ships in the Disney Cruise Line.
It was a 4 night cruise, so you go from Port Canaveral to Nassau, Bahamas, then a day at sea, a day at Castaway Cay (Disney's own private island), and finally back to the home port in Port Canaveral. A 4-night cruise is a great length to for a cruise. Just long enough for a break and not so long that you're tired of being on a ship.

The local Rock Bouncers pretty much took over the Trucks Gone Wild event at Wheeling in the Country in Summertown, TN. These guys put on one heck of a show for all the spectators.. It's always a good time watching these guys hit some of the nastiest trails in the SouthEast!!
