Supercharged home made Straight Eight by Desperate Dan Vid 2
Built in a shed, it fired up first go. I was hoping it would sound real lumpy like a drag engine, but it runs too smooth, and it's too quiet even with unsilenced 9" pipes! The timing was a pain to sort out the Rover distributor runs backwards, I had to take the heads off to work out the firing order!!! See the shed it was built in on Vid 1. Added May 2012: OK, my nails are dirty, maybe because I'm an engineer & build stuff? Maybe your nails are clean because you can't build eff-all & just sit behind your computer? C'mon folk, get a life.

Mini Cooper (Part 1/2) With Helicopter Turbine Jet Engine Smokes

Setting the engine up and breaking it in.Remember this engine is just being started after a rebuild so that's why it's smoking from the assembly lube and the rack will be set-up to stop the hunting etc etc. Then the oil is changed and the engine painted. These engine's go into Euclid mining rock trucks,and they were in many other equipment/vehicles.The engine has rebuild heads,turbo's, blower, water pump,all internal parts and the air compressor All done in the great north of Canada

24V71 Detroit
This is our 24 cylinder Detroit that we are putting in a custom 359 Peterbilt. It will use an Allison Transmission, and the engine will be in the front of the truck. We are starting off with 40 foot 4" X 14" rectangle rails, not sure how long it will end up being.

bought the truck for 600 its a 1950 4-71 detroit in had been sitting since 81 chaged the oil and diesel and freeed up all the injectors and it still does this because the fuel rack is frozen

The Blitzen-Benz was purpose built to do just one thing, to break speed records (not racing), and it did repeatedly from 1909 through 1911. Twice the speed of the fastest airplane, (12 April, 1911, Alfred Leblanc @ 69.442mph/111.801kph in a Blériot Blériot) and even shattering the record speed of 210km/h set by a locomotive in 1903. This record was not even officially broken in an airplane until 1920! Of the six originally built, this is one of only two that exist today, and is displayed at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, Germany. While the extended and nuanced effort required to start the Blitzen-Benz on a cool coastal morning can try the patience of some viewers, its historical significance and ground-breaking engineering brilliance still place it amongst the greatest motor-vehicle achievements of all time, and the dozens witnessing this effort felt it was one of the highlights of many great moments at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance 2011.
