2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP T2 SCCA Yel
This special car, 1 of 88, has a turbo 4 cylinder engine producing 240 horsepower. It won the top 3 places in SCCA racing...so that certainly deserves a commemorative model! It, along with all Solstices and the Saturn Sky, were products of GM's Wilmington Delaware plant. I feel that much could have been accomplished with this car had it continued in production...but it fell with the futures of both Pontiac and Saturn.

This video is show one video of step by step of how to remove your battery on a Pontiac Solstice with out removing the tire flare or the fender from the side mount. I only show how to get to the battery. The Video from the start, till me finishing, with no editing took 15:24 minutes. I only removed a little of the video just to make it so I could load it. Loaded down with 4 people and all my weekend gear, probably about 7000 lbs, (I'm 6,300lbs with just one (1) ready for wheeling), and pretty much walked up the hill. We had not forgotten the ergonomic shortcomings of the Solstice. Nor had its functional limitations slipped our minds. It was mechanically the same curvaceous Solstice that had made us swoon in 2006. Only now it had a bitchin' hardtop. So here we stand again with hearts racing and gaze locked on the 2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe. The GXP offers you 260 horsepower from its turbocharged Ecotec inline-4 and big tires to put the power to good use, so it's a lot more serious than the standard Solstice coupe. Its angled roof gives the coupe an angry, menacing stance unmatched by the roadster. This is the car we secretly want to like. In the back of our minds, we hope it's different from the 2006 Pontiac Solstice we lived with for a year in our long-term fleet. And perhaps it's a measure of the intensity of this hope that our disappointment is so devastating.
