My 2004 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor transformation into a Marauder clone.
My 2004 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor transformation into a Marauder
clone. Bought from Texas Department of Public Safety in January 2008. The
front clip was not changed out to the Marauder as these parts are very
expensive. The header is about $250, front bumper is $400, headlights $100
and grille about $125. Then the rear bumper is $500 from the dealer to
complete the whole look. Even junk yards wanted near retail for body parts.
So I just added the Marauder corners and smoked headlights. Cheaper and
still looks good and the average person has no clue the differences.
The Mercury Marauder was the name of three different automobiles made by
the Mercury division of Ford Motor Company. During the 1960s, the Marauder
was introduced as the high-performance model of the full-size Mercury line;
its Ford equivalent was the Galaxie. From 2003, the Marauder nameplate was
revived as a high-performance variant of the full-size Grand Marquis. After
lower than expected sales, the Marauder was discontinued at the end of the
2004 model year.
04 Marauder 0-80 with new J-mod
Kind of a long awaited part 2 to my 0-90 video. Since that video I added
4.10 gears, CVPI MMX lightweight drive shaft, FRPP true-trac, J-mod with
upgraded EPC and TCC solenoids and running Nitto nt555 265/50-18. Also
tuned out the lag of the torque converter going into 2nd gear. ^_^
