BMW 135i Fuel Pump Dying (HPFP)
Search "135i hpfp" in Google. Yeah. Crazy isn't it? These things go out all the time. Before you buy a 1 series or a 3 series, you'll want to read up on this long standing issue that BMW has yet to really address. Year after year they replace these things, but they still haven't designed a better HPFP. From informal polls on http://1addicts.com/forums it looks like this effects somewhere between 20-25% of people on the forums. Yikes. Can't wait till my warranty runs out :-(

Really bad cold start today. HPFP might be on it's way out? I'm not sure. I'm tuned and catless if it helps.
BMW 328Ci E46 Cold Start Vanos Repair Jan 2011
2000 BMW 328Ci 95000 miles Cold Start Idle Stutter, Hesitation, RPM Drop. Before and after video after VANOS repair (replace o-rings). First half of video starts right after secondary air pump shuts off (~1 min). You can hear the engine stutter every 8 to 10 secs. After VANOS o-ring replacement, waited till next morning (~5 hours) to start the engine. Started video after secondary air pump shut off. No hesitation or cold idle issues. It's been about a week now, 150 miles and still no issues. I believe the VANOS seals was the problem. Thanks to www.beisansystems.com for researching this issue and providing an o-ring replacement kit as well as the DIY procedures. Great job!

BMW E34 520i hard starting + very rough idle
After driving the whole day using LPG, engine wouldn't work when switched to petrol, also i was unable to start it on petrol, but it was starting just fine when on LPG and warm engine. Now since engine is cold the car doesn't start on LPG and it's also barely starting on petrol and having rough idle.
The car is 90 E34 520 with m20b20, LPG/petrol conversion.
I'm not good when it comes to car mechanics, but i'm thinking, could it be the fuel pump?
Maybe someone has any other ideas what could be the problem? Thanks.
BTW fuel light on the dashboard is always on and fuel gauge doesn't work either.
