The base Mustang comes with a powerful V-6 engine while the GT gets the venerable 5.0 liter V-8 engine. The result is a great performing sports car that pays homage to the Mustangs of year gone by. The 2013 Ford Mustang base V-6 costs $22,200 while the 5.0 GT Coupe starts at $30,300. The engine features a high 11:1 compression ratio, Coil on Plug ignition, and variable camshaft timing. Transmission choices are either a six-speed manual or a six-speed SelectShift automatic. Fuel economy figures are 15 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. The 2013 Ford Mustang features a new front end that looks similar to the Shelby GT500 with its aggressive front bumper and splitter that adds downforce. The hood features functional heat extractors. The wheels are 18-inch painted aluminum pieces. Out back the taillights have LEDs integrated in them which really pop at night. On the inside the 2013 Ford Mustang GT also revisits some former glory with a big dose of modern technology. Retro meets cool thanks to the stylish gauges and the double dip dash. Cadillac CUE Infotainment System -- Car Video Review of the Cadillac User Experience
The Cadillac CUE stands for Cadillac User Experience and it is the next generation data and entertainment control system that will be featured in new Cadillac vehicles like the ATS, XTS, and 2013 SRX. This latest generation of infotainment adds connectivity and user interface into one easy to manage system. The CUE will be the centerpiece of all future Cadillac interiors. With CUE the operator will be able to control various applications including audio, phone, navigation, heating, and air conditioning systems. The home screen is nicely integrated into the dash and features a large 8-inch LCD touch screen. The screen also provides something called tactile feedback which is essentially a pulse that is returned when you touch a button. The storage bin located behind the control panel allows you to plugin in your mobile phone which is then operated via Bluetooth through the CUE system. As an additional option, the 12.3 LCD gauge cluster will replace the regular analog gauges like speedometer and tachometer with a full customizable set of data readouts. There are 4 different screen layouts that mix the vehicle data you choose. On the steering wheel there are integrated controls to manage the LCD gauge cluster, any apps, or practically any system the CUE manages. The Cadillac CUE system operated like a smart phone or tablet in many ways. You can download various applications that can be integrated within the CUE interface. All the favorites are included like Pandora, Sirius XM Satellite Radio, OnStar, and more. The 3-D navigation offers turn by turn instructions and you can also get real-time weather reports. The CUE system features voice recognition which adds to the ability to control the entire system hands free. 2013 Ford Escape Titanium EcoBoost Test Drive & Crossover SUV Video Review

The new Escape also sports a trio of new engine offerings including the EcoBoost 4-cylinder. For this generation both the hybrid model and the V-6 model were dropped from the line-up. There are 4 different trim levels, 3 different engine types, and 2 drive configurations to choose from. The base model S with FWD starts at $22,470 while the Titanium 4x4 goes for $32,120. The 3 various engine types that power the 2013 Ford Escape. The first is a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 168 horsepower and 170 lb-ft. of torque. This engine gets 22 MPG in the city and 31 MPG on the highway. The second engine is a turbocharged 1.6 liter EcoBoost 4-cylinder that makes 178 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. The third engine is the real star of the group. This motor is a turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost that makes a whopping 240 horsepower and 270 lb-ft. of torque. Fuel economy for this engine is excellent at 22 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway. The transmission offered on all models is a 6-speed automatic. You can choose between FWD and AWD. On the outside the 2013 Ford Escape looks clean and sharp. The design style is both functional and stylish. Since the 1960's Porsche has been known to produce some of the fastest sports cars the world over. But in recent years the Porsche brand as combined high end luxury with their 911 sports car. There are literally 18 different models of the Porsche 911 for the 2012 model year with the base price Carrera costing $79,000 and the top of the line turbo S with the PDK transmission costing $172,100. But the model reviewed here costs about $105,000. The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S is powered by a 3.8 liter 6-cylinder engine that produces 400 horsepower and 325 lb-ft. of torque. There are 2 different transmission choices available; the first is a 7-speed manual gearbox that features a long ration 7th gear to help aid in fuel economy, and the second transmission is a 7-speed PDK is a double-clutch gearbox that can change gears within milliseconds. Fuel economy is 22 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera has some great fuel saving technologies. First with the PDK transmission, the 911 has what is called coating mode which essentially drops the RPMs to less than 1k so that the car uses less fuel. There is a start-stop system which shuts the engine off while stopped. This technology is commonly found on hybrid vehicles. For this new refresh Porsche made many styling changes. But you can rest easy know the same basic body style that has remained over the past couple of decades is still quite evident. This 7th generation Porsche 911 Carrera is a bit wider with the wheel base getting stretched by 4 inches. With those new dimensions, the 2012 Porsche 911 now has a much better ride. At the rear of the car are newly designed taillights featuring LED lights. As mentioned earlier, the new direction Porsche is taking is to integrate the best luxury amenities and materials as possible into their sports cars. The 911 is no exception as it benefits from great 18-way adjustable seats, an Alcantara headliner, as well as premium materials covering most surfaces in the cabin. Safety wise the Porsche 911 has a handful of front and side impact airbags that feature a two-stage impact system. The bags partially inflate in minor accidents and fully inflate for serious accidents thereby minimizing discomfort for the passengers in slower fender benders. The 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S is a luxurious sports car that can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in the low 4-seconds range. When the Japanese mid-sized sedans starting winning the sales war, Ford shifted their attention to SUVs. And the Taurus was eventually discontinued being replaced at the mid-size level by the Fusion and at the full-size level by the Ford 500. Well now the Taurus is back and better than ever. The 6th generation debuted in 2010 and has now received a refresh for the 2013 model year. There are 4 different trim levels including the base SE which costs $26,600, the SEL which costs $28,800, the Limited which costs $33,000, and the SHO which costs $39,200 and is reviewed elsewhere. The 2013 Ford Taurus is a full-sized sedan that was given a mean and sharp look that follows Ford's new design direction. Up front the grille, projector headlights, and LED running lights really grab your attention. The Taurus has a wide stance at over 76-inches which give this sedan a comfortable ride. Out back the 2013 Ford Taurus features an integrated spoiler on the trunk, and a chrome-tipped dual Exhaust system. Depending on the trim level there are a couple of different wheel packages. The SE trim gets 17-inch rims, the SEL trim gets 18-inch rims, and the Limited gets 19-inch rims. There is an option to upgrade to large 20-inch polished aluminum wheels. The 2013 Ford Taurus comes in both FWD and AWD configurations. There are 3 different engine to choose from. The base engine is a 3.5 liter V-6 that makes 288 horsepower and 254 lb-ft. of torque. This engine has a 6-speed automatic and gets 19 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway. The second engine is a turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine that makes 240 horsepower and 270 lb-ft. of torque. This smaller displacement engine gets the best gas mileage at 22 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the highway. The top of the line engine is a twin-turbo 3.5 liter found on the SHO model. The seats are high quality leather and feature power adjustable controls with both heating and cooling option.
