2012 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan Test Drive & Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/subaru/impreza/2012/ When you consider the base price on the 2012 Subaru Impreza WRX Sedan is only $25,595 and you get a high-tech turbocharged engine along with Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive; there is no car that can equal this kind of performance bargain. The Subaru Impreza WRX comes as either a 4-door sedan or a 4-door hatchback. The WRX has been one of the best selling sport compact cars since 2002 when it first debuted in the U.S.
The 2.5 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine produces 265 horsepower and 244 lb-ft. of torque. The engine is a boxer style which means the pistons lay horizontally. This gives the engine a lower center of gravity which helps in the handling department. 0-60 MPH flies by in less than 5 seconds. Subaru Boxer engines are also known for their distinctive engine note. Fuel economy for the WRX is 19 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. The Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system provides an even distribution of power to all the wheels at the same time. The 2012 Subaru WRX also only comes with a synchronized 5-speed transmission. There is not automatic offered. But this is a good thing because the WRX was built to perform.
The Subaru WRX was redesigned for the 2011 model year and with the redesign came some cool exterior changes. A new wide-body design gives the WRX a great look. The handling is taken care of by a 4-wheel independent suspension system featuring front and rear stabilizer bars. The wheels are 17-inch alloys wrapped in high performance P235/45 R17 tires. Up front there is a functional hood scoop that provides cool air for the top-mount Intercooler. Out back the dual Exhaust lets drives know the WRX mean business.
On the inside the 2012 Subaru WRX features a cool set of sporty seats to hold the driver and passenger in place during spirited driving. The WRX comes standard with Bluetooth and iPod connectivity. There are 6 airbags to help keep you safe. The 2012 Subaru WRX Limited model tested here comes with leather interior, HID headlights, heated seats, and a cool touch screen navigation system.
The 2012 Subaru WRX offers turbo power, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, a great 5-speed transmission, and precise steering; all for around $26,000. Are there really any competitors that can match this kind of performance at such a low price point?

WRX Sti (570 HP, 573 TQ) Tuned by Topspeed
2004 WRX Sti with over 12K in mods. Tuned by Top Speed of Atlanta GA, Dyno run @ 454 HP and 457 TQ. Mods include 850cc injectors, Hi Flow Fuel Pump, Perrin FMIC, methanol injection, Garrett Tubo (26psi), Perrin Boost controler, full tubo back exahust (catless), uppipe, downpipe, cold air intake, Perrin blow off valve Cobb Access Port piggyback ECU and track tuned suspension. This is my third WRX, I purchased this car with the mods and tune done. I know there is more but this is all I know. The car ran an 11.2 QM and reaches 60 mph in aprox 3.2 seconds. My 65 year old uncle who has raced cars his whole life and owns multiple 600+ HP cars one of which is a wheelies Kit car with a blown 454 producing 650 WHP took a ride in this Subie and said after the ride that it was the fastest car he had ever driven. I am sure he has had a few 10 second cars or even high 9 sec. He said it was the fastest car he had driven but I doubt it. I would say that it is the fastest 0-100 he had ever driven. Old dudes have no idea what horse power can do in combination with AWD. He was blown away. I just got the car last month and have already raced a new Z06 Vette from a 2nd gear roll and pulled 5 links on him to 145 MPH.

2012 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Test Drive & Car Review
http://www.autobytel.com/subaru/impreza-wrx-sti/2012/ The 2012 Subaru Impreza WRX STi is the most popular all-wheel drive performance car on the market today. This bad boy sports over 300 horsepower and can destroy the 0-60 MPH barrier in under 5 seconds. That's faster than most sports cars! The 2012 Subaru Impreza WRX STi has a base price of $34,098. The STi comes in two body styles; there is a 4-door hatchback and a regular sedan body style. Both look great and provide loads of room. The 2.5 liter engine 4-dylinder boxer engine produces 305 horsepower and 290 lb-ft. of torque. A slick 6-speed transmission sends power through Subaru's advanced Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.
The interior of the 2012 Subaru WRX STi is all business. The dark tones give the car a real sporty feel. The ergonomics are just right as everything you need is right within reach. This sort of design comes from many years racing and rallying experience. The STi comes with a great steering wheel as well as supportive Recaro sport seats. Subaru designed the interior to not only be functional but comfortable also.
The 2012 Subaru Impreza WRX STi is at home carving the canyons or sliding around in the dirt. Subaru has kept automotive enthusiasts hungry for the STi since it first hit our shores almost 10 years ago. And the 2012 WRX STi is the cream of the crop!

The 2011 model year Impreza WRX STI will be offered in the 4 door Sedan bodystyle once again after a three year absence from the STI line-up since the introduction of third generation model. The new WRX STI Sedan is built as "wide body" with flared fenders, front skirts, and rear valance, while the Hatchback model also come with similar treatments. The most noticeable feature on the STI Sedan is a large rear wing, characteristic of the last generation Impreza STI Sedan. With the new front bumper, the 2011 Impreza WRX STI is more aggressive compared to 2008-2010 models. The 2.5 flat four turbocharged engine with 305 horsepower is carried over, while tweaks in suspension will improve handling. The 2011 model year STI has stiffer spring, bigger anti roll bar, and new pillow ball bushings on the front lower arms. Also, US dealers are now requiring synthetic oil for 2011 models. It will now do 0-60 mph in 5 seconds and the quarter mile 13.7 seconds It should also be noted that, in Japan and Europe, the WRX STI models lack the Impreza name. They are officially referred to as the Subaru WRX STI 4-door and Subaru WRX STI 5-door.
Australia also received the 2011 model year Impreza WRX STI as 4 door Sedan and 5 door Hatch in the regular STI and luxury STI spec.R. Electric sunroof, Leather seats, Navigation system, and BBS wheels are standard on the STI spec.R, while Recaro seats are optional.
The Cosworth Impreza STI CS400 can be distinguished from the regular STI from its upper mesh grille with piano black finish on the top frame, modified front bumper with "Cosworth" emblem on the lower mesh grille, and lip spoiler, 18 inch Pro-Race alloy wheels in Antrachite Gray, and trunk waist spoiler.
To match its performance, the CS400 comes with Bilstein struts and Eibach springs for better quality ride, and better handling with less pitch and roll during cornering. Braking was updated by AP Racing's larger diameter ventilated front brakes with six-pot calipers.Inside, the CS400 has Recaro leather seats with "Cosworth" label, piano black center console panel, and "Cosworth"-badged floor mats.
How to Drive a Manual Car (2010 Subaru WRX STI)
I do not own rights to the song playing, all rights belong to the artist The Crystal Method and I am hereby stating that so I do not receive any credit for the song in its entirety.
Just a few fundamental pieces of information for driving a manual transmission car, plain and simple.
-- As a warm reminder, please note that I have not included the clutch use in my car. As you shift from one gear to the next, you must push down the clutch each time and gradually release it while giving the car a small amount of gas. Once you feel the point of engagement in the clutch, you can release it much quicker and then only give your car gas until you need to shift again (around 3,000 RPMs or 10 MPH). Then the process is repeated multiple times until you reach the sixth gear or have made a stop. My apologies for any confusion this might have caused. If there is still much confusion over the topic I will be more than happy to make a more thorough video addressing this topic as well as including all fundamental pieces I have included in this video. Feel free to leave comments and thank you for your support!
