The 5.0 liter V-8 engine in the Boss 302 puts out 444 horsepower which is more than the Mustang GT. The increased power comes mainly from shortened intake runners. The Boss 302 is differentiated from the GT thanks to a ton of badging and unique Boss 302 stripe. The Boss comes with 19-inch wheels with summer compound tires that help keep the car on the track. On the inside you get factory installed sport seats with Alcantara inserts. You also get an Alcantara steering wheel and headliner. One drawback with track tuned cars is usually the rough ride on the road thanks to the stiff suspension. The Boss 302 has an adjustable suspension to give you a comfortable ride when commuting to work and a stiff suspension for handling curves on the track.
