2011 Optima SX 0-70
Brand new 2011 Kia Optima 0-70. I timed 6.4-6.6 seconds. The exactness of YouTube says 6.8 seconds. Camera isn't great, recorded it with my iPhone, but as far as I could tell when I uploaded this, it's the only acceleration video on the new Optima. Was taking it for a test drive or I would have done this a touch better! The traction control was ON. This is the 2.0L turbo 4 cylinder with 274hp, 269lb/ft. This was a base model SX at $26,690. For those wondering, yes it does have true HID headlights, not just crap projection. The door chime is exactly like the Korean spec models with more of a jingle than a chime. The faux carbon fiber trim is not bad looking, for fake trim lol. The sport suspension is firm, but not hard. Reminds of the suspension on a Lexus IS, soft enough to kill the bumps, but firm enough to take a corner. Pardon the cut up video of the exterior, trying not to get the dealer plate and whatnot. If you haven't driven it, you will be highly impressed. I've driven almost everything in this price range now and it truly stands above everything else.

The 2012 Buick Regal GS is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque. The Regal also manages an acceptable 19 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway. The 2012 Buick Regal GS has a base price of $34,450. When you look at the Regal GS you will notice it is very sporty and that's because the Regal has a lot of German heritage due in part to the Opel underpinnings. Beyond the turbo engine the Regal GS rocks huge 20 inch rims with Brembo brakes. This is anther tell tale sign that Buick is moving away from the senior citizen segment in the hopes of attracting a younger car buying audience. In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth look at the understated muscle car of the late 80s, the Buick Grand National, this one specifically the Regal T-Type. The GN and the T-Type are identical except for badging and interior trim. It wasn't until you stepped it on up to the GNX did you get the truly different package (which I will explain in the video). The GN is arguably the most menacing looking buick of all time with it's black monochrome paint scheme and turbo charged 3.8 V6 pumping out amazing performance numbers for the time period, even today! A unique experience to be able to check out one of these beasts.
