1988.5 Ford Escort EXP 1.9L CFI 2 Door, 2 or 5 seater coupe.
I noticed there are very few video's on what a Ford Escort EXP is. This is the second generation model and the last one they came out with. The 88.5's are all Luxury Sport Coupe's but it doesn't say that anywhere on the car. I got mine from the original owner in 2012 and he had bought the backseat for it when he had kids a few years after he bought the car. It came standard with Fog Lights but when I bought it one was missing and wiring was burnt up so I just ripped it all out. I might get another set one day for it to keep it close to original. The only things that aren't original on it are the air box cover that I painted Ford blue, and the Stereo system. Its basicly an Escort that they came out with in the 80's to appeal to the younger crowd. At the time the only other 2 seater car was the Thunderbird and they wanted to replace the Mustang with this front wheel drive style car. Once Mustang owners found out they were trying to switch to a FWD car they lost it and Ford quickly stopped the EXP. They had already spent so much money on the project they came out with the Probe for a while and then that was dropped completely and the Mustang lived on! If you drive it by the shift indicator light on the gauge cluster you will get stupid good fuel economy and shift it at 2,000rpm. If you drive it a little harder and shift it at 3,000 it will get some... for a 4 cylinder... When these cars were new they were advertised at 44 Miles per gallon. The tank is 40 Litres and I can get 600km if I fill it at 1/4 tank.
2013 Ford Explorer Sport 0-60 MPH - EcoBoost
http://MPGomatic.com drops the hammer on a 2013 Ford Explorer Sport for a 0-60 acceleration run.
The 4WD Explorer Sport is equipped with a 3.5-liter turbocharged, direct injected EcoBoost V6 (twin turbos) that produces 365 horsepower (HP) and 350 foot-pounds of torque, mated to a 6-Speed SelectShift automatic with paddle shifters.
Test performed in Drive with Traction Control OFF. There are two runs: the first off idle, the second with a launch.

1986 Ford EXP running agian!
My 1986 EXP running again after spinning a rod bearing, then replacing the engine with a high compression engine, and not turning down the Boost enough *oops*! I had to rebuild the low compression engine again, but its back on the road now running 15 PSI on pump gas and 19 on race gas.
EXP in Canton, NC.
It has been about 4 years since I have seen another EXP moving under it's own power. I was as excited to see this car as I was the Ferrari 360 and Lamborghini Diablo earlier in the day. It is one of the most rare cars still on the road.
It is belongs to you send me a message.
1986 Ford EXP racing a Dodge Dart GTS 340
My 86 EXP racing A 1968 Dodge Dart GTS with a cammed 340, aftermarket intake, headers, open Exhaust and drag radials. I am running 13 PSI in this video. I ran .2 seconds slower than the Dart at 6 mph faster in the 1/8th.
1987 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe dyno
My ex-turboCoupe running a 306 and single turbo. Couldn't get a good tune as we found cylinder one only had 10lbs compression. Partial pass didn't do too bad at 473hp@5400rpm on a MustangDyno.
1977 Ford LTD walk around tour
You just can't beat cars like these, especially when they're FREE. Does any one know why it wouldn't go above 10mph? Hope to have more vids up soon with it running.
