Not only did Scion win the hottest sport compact car award at SEMA, but Scion played host to a select group of the front engine rear drive tuner cars competing in the Scion Tuner Challenge. This is a huge testament to the brand and especially to the popularity of the Scion FR-S car. The Tuner Challenge cars all came out great and each builder had their own ideas and tastes that were applied to the individual cars. The Carbon Stealth FR-S, FR-S GT and minty FReSh have quickly become crowd favorites. But it's the bold bodied race inspired FR-S GT and Evasive Motorsport versions that catch Ken's eye. 2013 Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid Test Drive & Car Video Review
http://www.autobytel.com/volkswagen/jetta-hybrid/2013/?id=32972 Back when gasoline only cost twenty five cents per gallon we weren't concerned with crazy ideas like alternative fueled vehicles, however with gas prices on the seemingly never ending rise, cars like the 2013 Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid are making a comeback. Volkswagen as a brand was been built on practicality as well as innovation, and the 2013 VW Jetta Hybrid is no exception, especially when you take into consideration that the hybrid powered gas/electric commuter starts at only $24,995. What we have here is the first ever turbocharged hybrid. The power plant consists of a 1.4 liter turbocharged engine combined with an electric motor to produce 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft. of torque. The Jetta Hybrid has the ability to operate in pure EV mode for up to a mile at speeds under 44 MPH. Volkswagen has incorporated advanced lithium ion technology into their battery packs which are located in the trunk. Some storage space has to be sacrificed but you will no doubt love the resulting fuel economy which should be about 45 MPG. Volkswagen has made some improvements to the exterior of the Jetta Hybrid in the name of aerodynamics that brings the drag coefficient down from 0.3 to 0.28. When you look at other hybrids, their transmission is most often a CVT which takes the fun out of driving. But the 2013 Volkswagen Jetta Hybrid gets a 7-speed twin-clutch automatic transmission that is simply amazing. The Jetta Hybrid is the car for the enthusiast out there who wants something other than the bland Prius. From a driving dynamics stand point, Volkswagen aimed to make this car the best driving hybrid on the market and they have succeeded. 2013 Infiniti FX50 Test Drive & Luxury Crossover Video Review

The FX50 and FX37 have been around for a number of years and these 2 vehicles are differentiated by their engines. The FX50 has a 5.0 liter V-8 engine making 390 horsepower while the FX37 is powered by a 3.7 liter V-6 making 325 horsepower. The 2013 Infiniti FX50 has a base price of $61,400. Another big element to these sporty luxury crossovers is the styling. The Infiniti FX has always had a love it or leave it presence due to its aggressive and bold exterior design. On the inside the FX50 has good functionality and utility. The cargo room is adequate and the rear lift gate is automatically controlled. The interior space in the rear may be a bit small but this vehicle is a crossover and not a large SUV. The interior features tons of luxury amenities. The seats are leather and the trim is a lovely maple wood. The technology on the Infiniti is cutting edge with tons of safety equipment like: around view monitor, distance control technology, and intelligent brake assist to name a few. The sound system is also a top notch BOSE unit. This is a high end luxury car and you will get treated like royalty by your Infiniti dealer. Driving the 2013 Infiniti FX50 is impressive. This luxury crossover can go from 0-60 MPH in a little over 5 seconds which is amazing. The steering is tight and the suspension firm which makes for a wonderfully agile vehicle. Formula Ford EcoBoost 1.0 Liter Street Legal Road Race Car @ SEMA
http://www.autobytel.com/ford Autobytel recently caught up with Michael Norton, the head of Ford Racing Europe, at the 2012 SEMA show to talk about Ford's Street Legal EcoBoost Formula Ford road car. Don't let the racecar look fool you, because this thing is street legal. As the Motorsports Manager for Ford, Mr. Norton has lots of inside knowledge on making blue ovals go fast, and he was more than happy to share some thoughts on the extremely efficient exercise in design. The Formula Ford EcoBoost Roadcar that was on display in Las Vegas has been fitted with a little 1.0 liter EcoBoost engine. The purpose of this is to show the performance and economy from a small 3-cylinder engine. Although this engine is not available here in the U.S. it is standard on many cars in the U.K. including the Fiesta, Focus, and C-Max. The 1.0 liter engine is part of a bigger EcoBoost engine family. This car was specially built for a Media Event at Germany's Nürburgring. A lap time of 7:22 was set by Formula Ford driver Nick Tandy which is the 11th fastest times to be seen around Nordschleife beating out Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, and all sorts of cars. This goes to show the true potential of this small 1.0 liter EcoBoost engine. This Formula Ford car was specifically designed to be road legal. Ford Motorsports spent the whole summer working with the proper U.K. government so that the car would be SVA (single vehicle approval) legal. 86FEST Import Car Show Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ and Toyota AE-86 @ Fontana Auto Club Speedway

**Subscribe and dont forget to rate more videos in my channel* In car video chasing a Porsche GT3 @ Circuit of the americas COTA in the FR-S. Best lap from Feb 01-03 was a 2:40.8 and top speed in the back straight was 117 MPH, as the day warmed up so did my front tires and i started getting a bit of understeer and my time would go up. The FR-S is a well balanced car but lacks power in a track like COTA. Im sure the GT3 driver was either on street tires or not pushing the car all the way but man i had fun chasing him down. Just for reference a well setup gt3 should clock a 2:22.0 - 2:32.0 depending on driver, brakes, suspension, and tires.
