Scion Racing FR-S Tuner Challenge Cars @ SEMA w/ Ken Gushi Autobytel caught up with Scion Racing driver/drifter Ken Gushi at the 2012 SEMA show for a little inside look at the Scion display. Not only did Scion win the hottest sport compact car award at SEMA, but Scion played host to a select group of the front engine rear drive tuner cars competing in the Scion Tuner Challenge. This is a huge testament to the brand and especially to the popularity of the Scion FR-S car. The Tuner Challenge cars all came out great and each builder had their own ideas and tastes that were applied to the individual cars. The Carbon Stealth FR-S, FR-S GT and minty FReSh have quickly become crowd favorites. But it's the bold bodied race inspired FR-S GT and Evasive Motorsport versions that catch Ken's eye. What would you do with a new Scion FR-S as a blank canvas. Well drifting king Ken Gushi had just that opportunity when it came to building a car for SEMA. Ken calls this car the Scion Racing and GREddy Performance Drift Dream Build. The reason being Ken got to make all the decisions that he only dreams about. And the result you see here in this video is nothing short of stunning. The engine is a 2JZ-GTE engine out of a Toyota Supra. These engines are known for their stout quality and their ability to produce outrageous power figures. The beefy tires are Hankook while the rims are from RAYS. The look is subtle yet loud at the same time. The color itself is fairly normal but the Rocket Bunny wide body kit is in your face! The Actual build process took about 4 months recalls Gushi.
