Pulling a Boeing 747 with a Chevy silverado 1500 at Arlanda airport Stockholm 2008.
No extra weight is put in the car. Not like the fake VW-commercial when they had tons of extra sandbags in the car to pull a 747
Chevy Rescues Ford Pickup in Deep Water, Grayland, Washington
It was about 1:00 PM today 7/17/2010 when a driver and 3 passengers were
traveling south on the Grayland beach. About 5 miles south of Westport. It
is legal to drive on the uppermost part of the wet sand on the beach in
Grayland. They were traveling along the surf line when they drove out onto
a sand spit. The driver drove off the sand spit into a deep trench caused
by tidal action. The impact was vilant enought to send one passenger to the
hospital with a non- life threatining head injury. She was treated by
Grayland Fire Department and South Beach EMS then transported to Grays
Harbor Community Hospital. The male driver and two other female passengers
were uninjured other than being very cold and wet. A very dedicated tow
truck operator, Justin Jones with South Beach Towing raced to the scene and
quickly got to work. Justin along with the driver of the pickup waded
shoulder deep threw the cold salt water, to connect a tow rope to the Ford
Diesel Pickup and pulled the rope with a South Beach Towing pickup breaking
the strong suction of the soft sand holding the partially submereged
vehical in place. Once the suction of the sand was releaved the pickup
began to float as water rushed up the hood and icechests floated about the
back of the pickup. Justin Jones, the tow truck operator worked hard to get
the Ford to dry land however he estimates that the diesel pickup will be a
total loss. A Washington State Park Officer stated that the driver will be
issued a citation however it was unknown what citation he will be issueing.
I do know it is unlawful to drive next to the surf line at low tide do to
that being razor clam habitat. UPDATE 7/24/2010. I just found out that the
lady transported to the hospital sustained a broken neck. I hope she has a
speedy full recovery.

Chevy 5th wheel pulling a container
This is a guy using a 5th wheel pulling a container. I saw some crazy
stuff in China but this was right here on the 605 after I got back from
China. Pretty good commercial for the truck though.
2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Pulling a 10,000 lbs Trailer
2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Pulling a 10,000 lbs Trailer..
(This Truck has a Gross Combined Weight Rating of 16,000 LBS)
***To settle the annoying issue of people doubting the size and weight if
The trailer is a K321TBS by Gulfstream (Kingsport) It is 36 feet in length
and the stick and tin version weighs 8000, this is fiberglass, completely
empty this unit is 8700 LBS. Now add 4 adults in the truck (630 LBS) Add a
full fresh water tank (420LBS) Now add all the gear, food, supplies (300
LBS). Now the weight the truck is pulling is 10,050 lbs, plus I didn't
factor in the propane tanks, TV, or black tank. (probably another 160 lbs)
(hitch, distribution bars, and sway bars would make up another 70 lbs) This
would total up to 10, 280 LBS. Hopefully this puts an end to these comments
that claim otherwise...

Chevy Silverado takes on Toyota, Ford & the Ike Gauntlet Mashup Towing Test ( Episode 3 )
( http://www.TFLtruck.com ) The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado is all new and
But is it better than the Toyota Tundra and the Ford F-150 EcoBoost? We decided to find out by putting all
three pickups up against each other in a Mega Mashup by having them tow the
old Lincoln Continental Mark V Diamond in the Rough up one of the steepest
and highest American Highways. From Dillion, Colorado to the Eisenhower
Tunnel U.S. I-70 climbs 8 miles to a maximum elevation of 11,158 feet or
3,401 meters. That's enough elevation and grade to test the most powerful
of pickups. Is the Ford F-150 EcoBoost up to the task of towing a over 7,000
pounds up to the top of the tunnel?
In this third TFLtruck Ike Gauntlet video review we test the truck up the
Ike Gauntlet see how fast it will tow over 7,000 pounds of old American
Luxury car 8 miles up a 7 percent grade to the Eisenhower tunnel with the
help of our friend Kent from ( http://www.MrTruck.com ).
